SC makes money out of PI's like you 'keep the faith' put the blinkers on.

No I'm not wrong. i forget the poster. The iii BB is still infected with control by an Avanti iii connection. Of that I have no doubt.

Avanti bosses take more shares

LONDON (SHARECAST) - The chairman and chief executive of the broadband satellite operator Avanti Communications have been upping their stakes in the company, spending a combined total of about £150,000 on shares.

Chairman John Brackenbury took 8,998 shares at 549.75p a go and chief executive David Williams took 17,997 at the same price.

Williams now some 1.5m shares, about 1.77% of the company, and Brackenbury has just less than 322,000.

Last week, Avanti said that developments last year will start to feed through to financial results this year. One satellite, HYLAS 1, has been sent into orbit, HYLAS 2 is being built and the financing of HYLAS 3 is being arranged.

"The proliferation of new internet applications, particularly those which are video intensive, and new devices enabling consumers to connect to the internet are the drivers of our market," Brackenbury said.

"In developed markets, data demand is rising strongly and in emerging markets, vast new populations are coming to digital media for the first time."

Was TW really so bothered by SC's anti-AVN post? It gave him an opportunity to add more Avanti on the cheap to his Smaller Co's Growth fund. Of course he issued a rebuttal but not too early.

At least the directors had the decency to take some action without dignifying the dodgy dossier or its infamous poster.

Rest I don't fully understand the constant attack but here is the Hylas v KA sat facts.

Power: KA-SAT provides 20 GHz on the forward link and 20 GHz on the return link, i.e. a total of 40 GHz compared with the 3 GHz of Hylas 1 from Avanti, so KA-SAT is roughly 10 times more powerful than Hylas 1;
Coverage: KA-SAT has 82 spot beams (>70 Gbps) covering a geography from Western Europe, parts of the Middle-East and Northern Africa (Mediterranean basin) whereas Hylas 1 has only 8 spot beams (~2.2 Gbps) so the coverage of KA-SAT is also about 10 times that of Hylas 1.

Every little helps, it is no good just putting on blinkers and ignoring all other events




Funny Superg keeps telling us he is a concerned private investor just looking out for the interests of other private investors.
He has no holding yet has posted a few hundred times for the last few months.

Why as a shareholder do I feel he is not looking after my interests?

After reading SC,s post and the conclusions he came to with regard to AVN not being able to compete with Eutelsat,s KA-SAT - The part about Eutelsat,s revenue forcasts being at odds with AVN,s and claiming that AVN,s profit would be much lower than their forcasts, --- im sure that i read something very similar about a month ago - posted by superg.

any chance you could repost it superg - or tell us where it came from ?

Is this an admission you got it wrong?

I have read all your postings over the last several months, of which there are many, of your opinions of AVN. Does this now all boil down to post 3408?

If so, I suggest you do leave this BB for others with better judgement.

Not sure it's a lot different in principle than buying a share then ramping it via a tips site or on a BB. At the end of the day buyers/sellers should be aware and dyor.

Give it a rest, I wondered what was going on, hype like mad yet the share was diving, perhaps it is SC who has contributed to this and is the cause and there was me thinking it was Avanti up to something.

I agree with your view on SC a bit like RHPS imo, buy some shares then hype it. I think that is criminal pump and dump too.

Trust me if I had been heavily invested in Avanti and Porky boy was the cause of a big loss for me, I'd make sure I found out where he drinks his tipple and join him for a chat.

Spotting which way a share is going to go is one thing, creating the effect and exploiting the one place PI's invest is criminal imo.

I'll leave you lot be now, although I still suspect things are not quite right at Avanti regarding perceived future earnings and contracts Eutel are good competition.

On the other hand maybe the fault lies with us PIs. Why sell just because of one individual with (probably by his own admittance) very little knowledge of technology says so.

Why rely on his suggested revenue figures when only 10 days ago AVN released figures showing strong sales at prices above expectations.... and long term contracts.

These hedge funds with their power seem to be able to devastate a company share price in the short term, siting seemingly inaccurate analysis, this seems unfair to share holders and the company in this instant
