Well said Greengiant and you will see I posted something very similar earlier this afternoon. Very annoying for those who don't have any more cash to top up but for those who have, nothing on the ground (or in space) has changed.

tsmith2 - this is what TB posted this p.m.

In my opinion the latest announcement from Avanti gave the clearest possible signal that it is on course to meet its business plan. One of the biggest holders of Avanti shares is Caledonia Investments, which has an outstanding record of backing successful businesses over the long term. Now if Caledonia started to offload Avanti shares, I might really get concerned... but for now I'm not at all worried. BUY UP TO 750p"

What has he got to appologise for.


How about for knowingly peddling false information,then plastering it all over the web.


It is no wonder society has broken down when you get scumbags that are prepared to destroy others for their own benefit.

Even worse is low life's like bigfella see nothing wrong with that.

It is a strange coincidence that Investec came out with a new downgrade today for the company.Clearly that analyst bears a grudge and should be reported to the FSA for the possibility of leaking his information before it is published.
They must be quite a site as bedfellows.


Maybe Sharia law is what we need after all.

Just seen the latest RHPS - Tom bulford still recommending as a buy up to 750p - positive on progress and updates.

company has reacted..Directors have bought £150k worth of stock in the open market..would have been rude not to have thanked SC for the opportunity..

sg31 you may well be right about respect for shareholders...


if that is indeed the case some kind of official response to the shambolic events of the last few days would be appreciated dont you think?

I was of the understanding that the LSE would require such a response anyway or have we not fallen sufficiently far or rapidly yet?

TC,The comment by David Williams was his way of saying FU to Cawkwell.I think he has the greatest respect for his shareholders.

Hang in there it might go down a bit shortterm but it is as safe as it gets longer term

I think half the market played by the same rules today! Lets hope you apply the reverse logic when the share price starts to recover!

For the record my rules obliged me to whine all day, sell nothing and LOSE 50% of my personal supply of paracetemol. There's always tomorrow.....

What has he got to appologise for. He expressed an opinion. His views carry some weight. Obvious short term trade. Why fight it just go with the flow.

Why has the share price fallen so much?
1 Seller in the background (hedge fund )
2 Cawky's comments
3 But just as important, general market weakness

You would not be hard pushed to find a handful of AIM stocks that have fallen 15% (or in AVN case 100pts - in the last few days). Take ETO - down from 165p to 143p - and that is without 1 and 2 above.

A few days ago we still had the hedge fund shorting but buyers were covering this weakness. Now that the bears are in charge, there is no support.

Can it fall further - absolutely. but driven as much by general market weakness as anything else.

Would be investors should look at the interims released 10 days ago to get the facts.

For the record my rules forced me to sell 50% today... but I am still long.

The company has said commercialisation will start in March - if I was them I would confirm the exact date and let the market know via a RNS asap. 1st March would be ideal!

I have found some thoughts but cant quite remember where I left the funds!
