16/5/2013 17:22 | But must admit I do not like the current share price. Hope to see it on the way up next week. | martincoops
16/5/2013 12:34 | This is the bit I like With two satellites already in orbit, Williams says the firm has reached the stage where it is more or less able to 'cherry pick' customers from the areas it covers. | martincoops
16/5/2013 11:39 | That seems quite positive. I would like to see some numbers though. | ![]() sg31
16/5/2013 10:40 | CITY INTERVIEW: Avanti boldly goes on expansion quest after value of the satellite tech firm rockets from £9,000 to £340m Africa, says Williams, is the biggest opportunity 'by a long chalk'. 'In Africa there is huge impatience for the delivery of broadband and nobody can wait for fibre to be laid.' 'We proved our technology in Europe, but the real revenue-generating opportunities are in Africa and the Middle East.' Indeed, African governments building infrastructure are 'jumping ahead of Europe' and going straight to wireless technology. Furthermore, those nations have 'no sovereign debt crisis, no recession'. | ![]() aishah
16/5/2013 07:47 | I don't think Avanti has ever committed itself to quarterly sales updates. So I'm bit surprised by the lack of one - disappointed though | anusol
15/5/2013 10:06 | Did you let the CEO know that we all wish to have an update, Rogk? | jadeticl
14/5/2013 18:50 | The Avanti website suggests there will interim management statements in the 2nd and 4th quarters. However as Avanti is an AIM company these statements are not compulsory. Certainly, there was no fourth quarter statement last year so it may be that next news is the pre-close statement in July. | ![]() mjames20
14/5/2013 14:08 | I was hoping for an IMS , last year we had one on 14th May. | colva
14/5/2013 11:53 | Update last year on 11/7. | ![]() jbarcroftr
14/5/2013 11:35 | From the Interim results RNS 12th Feb 2013. "By January, service was fully operational with end user deployments rolling out and all customers invoiced. We will therefore report the first material revenues from HYLAS 2 in the second half of the current financial year". "We have now located the HYLAS 2 steerable beam over Libya and within two months of doing so, sold more than half of its capacity. This will make a significant impact on second half revenues. Beams over the Middle East have also been quick to sell out". -------------------- It would be nice to have an update. | colva
14/5/2013 08:59 | Rogk, is this expectation of an update tomorrow based on anything substantial, or just a wish on your part? | jadeticl
14/5/2013 08:36 | well, probably due an update of some description, maybe tomorrow , maybe no. j. | ![]() jonnyno1
14/5/2013 05:38 | Just had a quick look at the "rules" about the issuing of IMS's , from what I can make out an IMS should be released between 10 and 20 weeks into each 6 month reporting period , Avanti's interim period ended 31st Dec 2012 so this week is (I think) the 20th week into the next reporting period so hopefully we'll have an update, but not sure that the rules apply to AIM companies so DYOR | colva
13/5/2013 14:53 | IMS this time last year referred to 4 months trading IIRC which isn't a usual update point generally. Possible we may have to wait for interims for an update. In the absence of any official news though, we have to assume that they continue to add an average of £11m to backlog per month. Paul Walsh's recent share purchase would appear to confirm this. | ![]() aa29
13/5/2013 14:23 | IMS statement was around this time last year.. any idea when we are expecting it this year ? | ![]() burkedavid
