Yeah, it's a much nicer sort of price action today, rather than the extreem high and then the drop into red at the end of the day.

Damn, I'm so dsyxloxic, I was expecting some comedy with David Walliams!

Hi all,

Much appreciated. One question : there's a passing reference re regulatory environment, near the end, where Williams says something on the lines of 'we don't have the problems here that we face (Q: have faced ?) elsewhere'....

Any idea what this might be a reference to ?

During the last 8 weeks or so, AVN shares have hardly been on offer cheaper than 300p, despite all the fluctuations in the world markets. Let's hope it was a temporary move last thing yesterday.

My take is based upon bearish sentiment coming over from the USA

Last Quarter could be mainly DOWN in the states

Plus more bank downgrades

Having spent another 20 minutes looking at the graph above and some other graph / charts and then creating a two minute chart for the last hour or so yesterday, I'm now of the opinion (and it's only that last 5 or 6 minutes that screw things up) that any early move below 295 and then 290 will, in fact, bring about your 275ish area, even though we're only talking half a dozen trades in that last five or so minutes. Rightly or wrongly, I've just deleted three limit buys. Let's see if you're right.

Morning buywell

Well, I run three computers side by side with an assortment of share-orientated software but maybe sometimes you don't see the wood for the trees . . . .

The trouble is with all this software and real time pricing it's very easy to concentrate on one 'aspect' only. And having re-committed to AVN I don't want to be wrong so I'm more inclined to ignore, what on another occasion, would be the patently obvious.

I've had a really good look at my day indicators again this morning and even with a bit of fine tuning they ALL still show 'positivity'. End of.

I trust these indicators because two thirds of the time (and that's conservative), they're right. BUT, they can and have been wrong.

The graph above is a really basic graph. Nothing clever about it other than the MAs are geared for very short term trading and it's one I tend to use for getting an overall picture usually at the start of my decision making. But I'm well past this stage if you see what I mean.

If this were to be the start of my decision making, I wouldn't be buying. So, we're essentially in disagreement, however, I'll sell and take a small loss in this buying cycle if your assessment proves to be correct.

It could be an interesting first half hour and I'll carefully watch my day indicator chart.
