Obviously a lot of directors with a lot of £s don't think so, and some major investment houses on board as well. IMO the director buying is the most interesting.

Military Ka-band capability will play a very strong role in future Con Ops, particularly for very high data rate services to and from disadvantaged terminals in theatre. One area we are looking at is multiple Unmanned Aerial Systems (UAS) streaming real time surveillance data to support military or governmental operations across areas of military or political interest. Current satellite systems simply do not have the available bandwidth to support such operations."

they have spent £300 million on capex and the value of the business is only £340m. (as well as the fact that the capex, launch etc take years and lots and lots of other factors that contribute to this sort of business etc etc)

if the business can only generate those earnings of £300m capex, the business model is well and truly screwed

and i dont think it is. and clearly nor do the directors or the biggest fund manager with a seat on the board

others are free to disagree.

I'm not sure that director buying is the best indicator that things are in good shape.

Look at Avram Grant, he was backing West Ham to stay in the prem all the way to the bitter end, it's in his interest!

I would be quite happy with a takeover at 750p now!

After all the pre launch hype, we are languishing well below the pre launch price where there was, quite understandably, a big risk premium!

Seems that there is now more risk with the tin box in orbit than when it was tucked up all safe and sound down here on the ground!

Good point colva.

It's a shame one poster has turned to bad language. Hey ho that's life.

At some point if all is on track re hylas 2 then the turnaround will come.

In the mean time other than price correction, is there anything unknown to the PI's that is causing the dive. Shorting can help that but, long or short trades are made based on what those making them think will happen, based on available information.

We have to admit the shorts have it since the mid 700's. Where the bottom is I don't know. Keeping the faith is all well and good, but the trading chartists have this one in their 'back pocket' for now.

As many say if you believe in the company and hold long term, what's all the sniping regarding short term blips. Some say they are going to hold long term and won't sell any, so why get a 'bee in their bonnets' re the fluctuations.

They happen, that's what shares are about.

I've commited the ultimate sin having all my eggs in one basket again (FUM) but I entered back in at 65p and I am very happy with my decision and I'm convinced it will provide huge returns relatively quickly.

We all have opinions and share favourites. Each to their own.

Best of luck

If you really thought this would fall to 300p let alone 1p why on earth are you in it anyway? Makes no sense.

If all above is true, and directors continue to buy, why oh why is the S/P still falling like a stone??????? Don't make much sense to me, I must be a bit thick!

At £4 this must be a steal, and a takeover target soon... A market cap of £340 Million, in which you get one fully working sat, another fully funded for next year, number 3 on the way too, and you get dozen or so licences for more satellites.

i would have to say that at this price there is either something materially wrong with this business, which i, the analysts and most importantly the directors cannot see or it will be the biggest reverse i've seen for a long time!

Looking to add at this price but wondering if the shorters may push it down a little further yet and the market not too good to say the least today.

Let the shorts have their day, if you believe in the directors (and they have backed it up with their ££££'s) and the model this will turn. In the meantime, if you believe in your research, look at this as an opportunity.

Never seen so much directors buying in a stock without there being a positive impact on the share price I am ofcourse referring to the buys over the past weeks as well as todays.

Superg, as you know from when you were libelling Avanti last year, Avanti had at that point an option to launch on one of two launchers, EITHER a Soyuz OR an Ariane, so delay issues on one rocket did not preclude timely launch with another. So you are dredging up these lies again, WHY???

From superg,

'Forgive me for mentioning the Hylas 1 delay. 'Dodgy ground' ????.

As I recall without looking so oopinion only.
The launch delay and problems was known 3 months in advance of AVN actually declaring it.

There was me thinking market sensitive news (as in the regs) requires such news to be released as soon as possible.

I don't wish to bring that up but you mentioned it.

Look guys I'm a PI and I wish all PI's good fortune. I tipped FUM long ago and some AVN investors from last year are quite happy with the tip.

If you want a prosperous year I suggest you look at the webiste or simply set goolge alerts to CSD500 or viagra condom. The company is not a one trick pony but has 6 employees no dbets and significant royalties to start rushing in this year.

I keep popping back here for the4 sake of new PI's. I don't know SC or want to. I never short shares.'

Good job you're here superg for the sake of new PIs - imagine if they were given a false impression by someones opinion.....

is it an offence to deliberately post falsehoods about a listed company on a bulletin board in an attempt to undermine the company or its quoted shares?

of course, there are always the issues of truth, wilfulness and proof..

That RNS was on the 12th of May - 2 days before the Russian announcement on the 14th so how can you say that Avanti failed to inform the market

first rule of deramping...Never let the facts get in the way of the arguement.
