27/5/2011 09:24 | Spot on bubble. Well said! | ![]() someuwin
27/5/2011 09:24 | Bubble perhaps you should follow Pharma on iii oin the FUM bb. He spotted the chart wasn't doing what it was supposed to long ago. Are you one of the crew shorting it yet. Pharma is a pro trader too and got loads of stick for hyping on about the trader viewpoint. Why don't you ask him how much he has made with PI tips, I introduced him to a few AIM tips and he has done rather well from them. If you went short after launch you must be rather pleased. You don't haver to read it. You don't pay for ADVFN and traders don't need bulletin boards. The charts tell all. So you buzz off or just filter me. I sense desperation on your part and no doubt losses on AVN. No need to get tetchy the value of shares can go up or down. | ![]() superg1

27/5/2011 08:56 | superg1 - no, i haven't been caught out by the 'hype' crew. I'm a trader not an investor and i keep a close eye on AVN. However i'm getting sick to the teeth of reading garbage by the likes of you who want to tell the world how great you are etc etc because of this trade and that trade.... it's boring mate. Why the need to blow your own trumpet constantly?? | bubbleandleek

27/5/2011 08:11 | you should see how super is pumping the hell out of FUM..every other post | ![]() jonnib
27/5/2011 07:48 | Superg.... you are a bellend. do you have to constantly write on BB's how right you have been and how great you are at picking stocks etc etc.... it is embarrasing to say the least. is it because no-one listens to you and you have to hide behind a computer to put you point across? very sad, very very sad. | bubbleandleek
27/5/2011 06:40 | superg1, "As for lies. I took my presumption from an iii post where the poster claimed such a connection between iii and AVN and things would be sorted" -------------------- Which post would that be then ? | colva

26/5/2011 21:57 | If that's the case could be a good day to pick some more up :-) Some people are focusing too much on the share price and ignoring what the company is doing and what it is expected to do and the income that will flow from this and the profits that will come from it. Not quite yet I grant you but when it turns into profit the change should be quite rapid. Green Giants posted earlier : This from Caledonia results: We received repayment of our GBP11.2m loan to Avanti Communications, a satellite business, and reinvested GBP5.0m of these proceeds in a share placing to help Avanti finance the expansion of its satellite fleet. We also added to our holding in Avanti with market purchases of GBP3.7m towards the end of the year. | ![]() yorgi
26/5/2011 21:28 | could be an interesting/volatile day. Get the impression shorters smell blood and may well use the fact that certain people base investing on TAs and use that to drive the share price to their advantage.. prepared to sit tight. | ![]() tsmith2
26/5/2011 21:14 | Just to be clear in what I've said, I'm not shorting Avanti or advocating shorting it, I just closed out my Spread Bets for a big loss. Still got a big core holding in my SIPP, but left wondering if I'm doing the right thing still keeping that. I know that it's all my own decision and that no one else can make it for me, as was my decision to buy in, in the first place. I genuinely want this to work out, but I grew too in love with another story ten years ago, where a company had everything going for it, it even one a court battle with a competitor . . . then promptly plummeted . . . whilst the competitor who lost the case trebled in a few weeks. Never makes much sense, does it. The Avanti story is a great one, and we're in at an amazing time of technological advance. But it seems to me that sometimes the ones who take the big leap first aren't always the ones to reap the rewards we think they should. Anyway, I'll stop hogging this fantastic board, All the best, John | ![]() 2350220
26/5/2011 20:56 | i dont think that tipsters are saying that the business is fundamentally overvalued - chartists dont like the chart though fair enough | ![]() geheimnis2
26/5/2011 20:01 | GG - what is going on at Avisen? | cammy3
26/5/2011 19:49 | Unfortunately it would now seem that Avanti is starting to be come a popular short with various tipsters ... I stumbled across this one ... "Avanti - Its downtrend has been ongoing for several months. Despite the rebound to 500p, prices soon weakened once more, leading to a break beneath the 400p support. This stock remains a firm sell." I personally think the business model is fine, but valuations are subjective and at the moment a lot of people are being convinced/told that Avanti is overvalued by various pundits :-( | marksnsparkle
26/5/2011 19:32 | superg1, FUM is interesting and good look with it. This from Caledonia results: We received repayment of our GBP11.2m loan to Avanti Communications, a satellite business, and reinvested GBP5.0m of these proceeds in a share placing to help Avanti finance the expansion of its satellite fleet. We also added to our holding in Avanti with market purchases of GBP3.7m towards the end of the year. Sorry to see people selling out, I ope you make your money back elsewhere. Me, I am happy to stay here, it is only a matter of time (who knows how long) for the market to see the results of all the positive action. I will follow the directors, thanks. As for iii, well that statement applies to all shares and is not specific to AVN so to me it doesn't raise any conspiracy theories. Anyway, less of a profit now, but still happy in here. Best of luck all gg | ![]() greengiant
26/5/2011 18:53 | Anybody on a loss stick it into Futura medical. I tipped this and PLE down and FUM up. Huge upside coming. I've been invested there for 2 years. My Avanti posts were not deramps, just the logic that I saw. Equally the Futura ramp is due to the huge prospects ahead. Ironically check out the bb posters on iii they are a good bunch. Some Avanti investors took a chunk of FUM to. The CEO of Futura took 3 minutes to reply today. He usually manages it witin 30 mins and always reply. I've yet to receive one from Avanti even though the first one's were just basic questions. When FUM does go (and the investing world wonder how they missed it) You know where you heard it first. All on track for the big news before the end of June. maybe tomorrow, who knows. Who on here has put every last penny into Avanti (the investor no no, all eggs in one basket). Ask that question on FUM. PI's with 100's of 1000's of shares each and 'all in' | ![]() superg1
26/5/2011 17:18 | John your sentiments are ringing in my ears. I bought £38.5k worth of these in my SIPP last August which for me was a huge amount. I have held on until now and finally bit the bullet today and sold the entire holding for a loss of about £8k. It was a hard decision but I can't stomach watching them go down any further which I believe they will. It's the classic mistake of falling in love with a share and it's a hard lesson to learn. They've become a basket case for whatever reason and there are plenty of other shares out there. | ![]() gerhux
26/5/2011 16:46 | Agreed John | ![]() yorgi
26/5/2011 16:37 | Yeah, I've got a lot of respect for TW. Brave to say that on here, as I know a lot of folk have a V different view. But I wouldn't have got into Vatakoula or Orosur or Kryso without him suggesting them. And my investments into the Smaller Co's Growth fund and his Gold fund, have done far better than any other funds I've held. In fact, it's mainly down to those two, that I'm as ahead overall in my SIPPs and ISAs. Just a crying shame that I've let this one get this far down without being Proactive. John | ![]() 2350220
26/5/2011 16:20 | Not at all John I can fully understand your comments and thinking and that is not deramping at all :-) In hindsight yes we should have sold out last December and it is always easy after an event to say "I told you so" and for everyone of those cases there will be many that just get it plain wrong. As we have for the time being on this occasion. We will just have to wait for next financial/trading update to know how well we are doing and trust that TW is well informed ? Have you seen his latest update ? | ![]() yorgi
26/5/2011 16:12 | Like I mentioned in a previous post Yorgi, when we broke £5, I was nervous but still hopeful. Now we've not just broken £4, but then some. I can't see what's to stop this testing £3. Sorry, I'm very aware that this sounds like I'm DeRamping. Believe me, I'm not in that game. Just annoyed at myself for not putting in place a proper exit strategy and for Fallin In Love with this company and with the whole idea. Anyone know when a financial update is due? I can't help feeling/hoping that we should be earning something from Hylas, and paying out less Hiring costs too. All the best, John | ![]() 2350220 |
