01/8/2008 09:19 | AUG share price is in a trough and is most unlikely to go any lower. Given that prospects appear to be improving there is hardly a better time for 151 Ltd to makea bid. However, the other big holders want their pound of flesh(return), so I think its just a question as to what price will satisfy them. Certainly this gathering of large holders is not by accident. | azalea
01/8/2008 09:08 | On further reflection there are too many big holders that would just be buying to sit on the shares in todays market...they all need a return...like us!! | cyberian
30/7/2008 23:44 | Yep azalea...1.7 million approx moved on 28/7 in one trade, and just over 1 million went to GS apparently (going from 5.31% on 17/7/07 to 28.7/08 at 6.87%..the rest maybe straight into the possible buyers hands. There must be some added speculation soon that one party will be the catalyst to make a decent offer. North Atlantic have increased to 16.7% recently and they are a value asset player almost certailny willing to pass-on their block at a reasonable turn. Or maybe GS are trying to be a spoiler for a large holder who wants to stay their hand...however, GS are normally a deal maker..expect to see some reaction to recent accumulations over months if not sooner. GS, plus North Atlantic, plus a certain other name have just about 50% if prepared to work together...any other thoughts? | cyberian
30/7/2008 12:43 | "A substantial six figure sum". A nice boost to AUG bottom line. | azalea
30/7/2008 11:14 | Olympic boost for treatment experts | lbo
28/7/2008 22:29 | Looks like someone is accumulating for a purpose...maybe wrong and wishful thinking but to the right party it seems a good opportunity and would be a good buy at up to say 100p. Anything less would no doubt be resisted and justifiably so....any thoughts? | cyberian
28/7/2008 12:49 | An interesting 1.79m @ 63p! | azalea

23/7/2008 00:30 | One51 may list environmental unit Dublin investment firm One51 said it may opt to sell shares in its environmental services business. At the company's annual meeting in Dublin this morning chief executive Officer Philip Lynch said "we have an environmental-servic One51's stock trades on the "grey market," an informal market for shares that aren't listed on an exchange. Such trading often precedes actual sales of stocks and other securities. One51 bought five metal-recycling companies and stakes in two electronic-goods recyclers last year. It also contributed to an offer for Irish Continental, sparking a bidding war with a company management team. Both bids failed. One51 has about 300 million ($478 million) available, including loans and cash flow from its businesses, Mr Lynch said. The investor is looking at "numerous value-realization options" in the next 12 to 18 months, he said, without elaborating. Mr Lynch said in the company's annual report in May that One51 had a "strong pipeline of potential targets and investment opportunities." | lbo
17/7/2008 14:32 | Despite the collective holding being very large, it will take nothing less than a mopping up of most of the free float, or, an outright bid to significantly move the share price That said, this is the year for a bid to happen. | azalea

16/7/2008 15:59 | I would say its a matter of time and price! "It's now one of the top three markets in Europe," said Sharifi, pointing to a string of recent acquisitions made by established European players in the sector. These include the purchase of the purchase of Bury-based C&C recycling by French waste management giant Veolia in April and the buy-out of Ancoats-based W Howarth Metals and its subsidiary, Howcan, by One51 in January. The latter is a former Irish agricultural co-operative society which, via a buy-and-build by financier Philip Lynch, has grown into a e221m-turnover firm listed on the Irish stock exchange targeting waste and environmental businesses. "They've gone about it in a very deliberate manner," said Sharifi. "They're very focused in this sector." | lbo
16/7/2008 07:24 | I'm getting curious now, the trading update is now a week late, has the company had a takeover offer????? Despite share price, the stock is well bid. If management read this, the market/investors need to know...... | deep powder
14/7/2008 10:29 | may be but they have waited for it to drop to 60p - why not wait till it drops to 30p? Unless anyone else sniffing out there thats where we will head ? | felix99

10/7/2008 16:34 | I wouldn;t be surprised to see a bid - but its not one I would want to chase as if it doesn;t happen it looks to melike they might need some cash short term | felix99
10/7/2008 15:03 | DP I would not give it a further thought, it will happen in its own good time. | azalea
10/7/2008 14:17 | Agree, I just wonder what is going on, company told me directly 2 weeks ago it would be on the 9th July.. | deep powder
10/7/2008 14:12 | Like the major shareholders I continue to hold - awaiting a bid. If 151 can swallow its paper loss in the £millions, I can do the same with my miniscule holding. Its a case of who is going to blink first it won't be me! lol! | azalea |
