Also Spain needs a listed miner . Will be a vehicle to grow / expand and become a major in Europe and ultimately beyond.

DO NOT SELL . This way too low . Wrong time to sell the company. We have a bright future ahead , selling up is wrong .

Orion paid 14p if I rememberThat's four pounds twenty in new money - how much will they want?Four pounds fifty would give them a tiny profit....Surely the Chinese will want more too.......?

I'd guess the initial offer would be in the region of 320p to 350p, and could go higher if others interested.
I might be prepared to take 350p, given the way the markets are playing currently.
Plenty of other good Copper miners to plough the profit back into.
I can't see offers of £3 being good enough, to the key players.
Anyway I doubt it will matter what I think, it's all about what the other 3 big shareholders are prepared to accept.

Highly likely this will all be done behind closed doors, and we just have to accept the outcome.

Managed to pick up another small tranche, with the little cash I had sitting on the side lines this morning at 238p.

For sure #Shortarm, but the timing.. it could be seen as an opportune time as the company might be perceived as in a position of weakness needing to raise and deal with the Astor settlement pending and getting in ahead of it..

It's not hurting the share price much tho'...!

It's about the fact that copper will be much more expensive in a few years!!!

Well, well.... that's an interesting turn of events.., wonder if it's got anything to do with settling with Astor to get them paid off, and give a new buyer a clear run into 15.0MTPA...?

If you take into account future copper price, touro and copper around Rio tinto then at least £5

Can't believe this and agree entirely with your comments rob.If there is a possible sale it's entirely logical that it could be being triggered by one of the big shareholders becoming frustrated by the constraints of the share structure and saying that it wants to buy the others out.As others have commented the prime suspect in that scenario would be our old friend Traf.We can but see how it pans out.

I wonder what the bidder has offered. Company running up a flag to shake out other interested parties?

Company has responded saying it is undertaking review to consider strategic options.
Which suggests there is something to the story.

Someone must be sniffing around.

Besides now we are a producer in s safe country with lots of potential with touro and areas surrounding Rio tinto, so price should be well north of here
