My only criticism of rp is that he has reneged on our gentleman's bet that there would be no dividends announced by the time of this years AGM.The only reason I am not enforcing it, apart from the inconvenient fact that such wagers are unenforceable in a court of law, is that I took unfair advantage of a relative newcomer who did not have my experience of this company.Generally speaking rp has been very open about his trades and has supplied a lot of information. I wish I had followed his tip on SOLG when I nearly bought at 22p but there is still a chance the share price could retrace given that they are still a couple of years from production. Emed springs to mind in that respect.

1 I have constantly posted opinion over the last 3/4 years, often backed up by detailed financial calculations or reasoning...see recent...

2 As these exchanges have shown, several people follow what I do and, having been accused of falsification in the past, I transparently post my activities and why.

I can understand my bland posts may sometimes be seen as 'bragging' which is never my intention. I often also (as many other do) post activities in other shares and some have followed me into the likes of SOLG and VILX.

I was very clear that the bulk of my realised investment in ATYM had been reinvested in SOLG and the reasons why. Also that I had kept some 'powder dry' to by back into ATYM.

I have also readily admitted errors, such as selling out WTI at breakeven, only to see it multibag. And occasionally others make a suggestion (such as ZIOC) to which I respond, giving my reasons why.

I was only reflecting yesterday that ERRIC has done an amazing job here. We have a well-behaved community which is far more enjoyable to be part of the many many other boards on ADVFN or LSE.

And we are approaching 12,000 posts!!

But without side comments on there shares, discussions of markets, etc, this Board would (and indeed has been) exceptionally quiet at times, especially now that our ship has come in and is set fair for the long term under the astute captaincy of Alberto.

I also understand that some on here remain bitter or disappointed that they are still not at breakeven, but most have had the chance to do what I did, buying originally at well over the current price but, by selling and buying back and risking a very substantial portion of my available funds, ending up with six figures worth of shares at an average price of c80p.

I clearly stated my intention to sell half when they doubled and have kept the board posted of all my actions since, including the rationale.

I repeat...this share has tremendous long term potential, maybe even to £10 or more, but in the short term there are factors that may hold it back. In those circumstances I deem it wise to be more 'fluid' in my strategy.

But I still have to find a home for my capital funds in increasingly uncertain markets.

I have always been clear of my preference for (mainly) copper, gold and silver, but I now also have a substantial amount of cash waiting out the market together with a substantial hedge position through VILX.

I apologise for being long-winded in the interests of transparency.

I have edited out my earlier comment but I cannot forgive MrO for his crass accusation, so he is now filtered.

Best wishes to all

How are those sour grapes #Onions..?.. :o), the facts were there for anyone to trade if they wanted to.., buying when Copper was 2.60 and selling at 2.80 when the share price was well ahead of what I expected and on the day some news emerges in the Spanish press was good timing and judgement IMO.., fair play..!

Was going to leave it at that : but my hand is forced. I wonder why Errik so protective of RP ? In the game also ?

The facts RP sells conveniently , often boasts. Nearly always timed around VAL disclosure, news.

I don't like it. Looks like we have all been duped by RP.

Not too bad a day all considered, the 83k buy at 8:20 helped no doubt. Maybe I need to change broker, but I had a few goes to buy at 240p upwards and couldn’t get a quote, strange considering the selling going on. If someone is indeed loading up now is the time to fill their boots as a fair amount of stock has become available at a reasonable price over the last couple of days.

Onions, you really can be off the pace sometimes.
Just take a deep breath and give RP some fellow investor congratulations on his fortuitous timing. Of course he didn’t know about the AAU ruling - that was just one black swan event that he was worried about so took a handsome profit.
I didn’t hear you applauding when he bought back in at 202p

Storm in a tea cup comes to mind, although the uncertainty isn't helpful except with the Astor case. If the AAU is in any doubt, then the whole basis for claiming payment has changed.
