Good day disc0 aka 'The Impaler'.

The Fibonacci Sequence is simply nature finding the best way i.e. natural selection over millions of years. Whether trading followed the sequence prior to its discovery or the sequence was applied then became popular I know not.

I find it difficult to accept that a non organic entity should decide 'Ah I've reached 23.6% I better stop going down' As I said previously it's use is so widespread it is self fulfilling.

Although I place Fibonacci on my charts I do look at other indicators. My main analysis is based on lines; horizontal and sloping.

Just noticed, closed down every day this week (-6.6% in total)....profit taking post Q3 results possibly (circa +19%)

Good day Mr bYep, squirrel kebabs on a stick for the next few days......before anyone says, yes the sticks are inserted after death obviously!Fibonacci sequence has always amazed me, how in nature the sequence is prevalent in terms of branching in trees, leaves arrangement, flowering etc etc. over 800 years ago he introduced the sequence to the western world - and today Mr bracke's trades depend on it! :)Have a good weekend

Did the hound catch any squirrels?

A good point about the 50% fib or rather; not fib. How and why it was added I know not. I presume its because it's half way but whatever the reason; it is. Why is it used as a retrace target probably custom and practice and thus self fulfilling.

When it does retrace up it needs to show intent by breaking and holding above 5550.A partial retrace will suggest that the current low (approx 5165) will be tested.

It's not unusual for an share price to retrace back to 50%, it tends to be a target. Nor is it unusual for it to 'take a break' at that level and even a retrace down before attempting to break through 50%.

Yes the gap at 5276 remains unfilled but is still a 'probable'.

I thought the market reaction to Mr Powell's comments yesterday were typical. His comments were the most bearish he has made and the market reacted accordingly but then second thoughts 'it's not so bad' and up we go.

Just an observation about Friday's price action. The volume was 1.76 million compared to the average over the past three months of 1 million. The share price closed as a doji which indicates a tussle between buyers and sellers ending with honours even.
