Time for a chart. I will try and keep it simple.

The share price is becalmed at the 5500 zone. Why you may ask.......The black dotted line is Friday's closing share price Follow the line to the left and you will see the share price between July and October 2021 was supported at that zone. As is often the situation what was support, when approached from below becomes resistance and vice versa.

So what next?

Option one - A spat of buying on opening to gap above resistance or a day of continuing buying resulting in a large bull candle.

Option two - The share price retraces maybe to fill the gap at 5276 or a partial gap fill and then pushes up to try and break through resistance.

If/when the share price does break through resistance the next likely resistance zone is 5758 for the same reason as described above.

Thank you for your comments, I am at a loss to know how to respond

Truth is as I mentioned before I rely on gut instinct for investment to a degree, formed here from:

* a little knowledge of the company's fundamentals, business model, markets
* confidence in the management gained since my first purchase in Augst 1997
* a soupcon of the technical analysis available on this board
* setting a maximum exposure limit, and taking profits for reinvestment elsewhere when this is exceeded
* general market conditions
* keeping in mind Terry Smiths strategy of 'buy good companies, don't overpay, then do nothing' a classic mantra for long term holdeers
* an occasional helping of luck!

Finally I think it's important to retain a sense of proportion here, with respect, two luccky trades, an investment guru do not make!

I am happy to continue to share my occasional trades but this does not come with any guarantee of success :-)

How do you do it? You certainly have the touch or is it a crystal ball? You don't seem to concern yourself with charts like some posters but you get it right.Having held AHT for nearly 20 years I unfortunately sold thousands in March 2020 at the beginning of the pandemic. I search articles for information, I guess the way the price rocketed to £65 after their results was in hindsight an obvious selling point but how did you know to buy back in at their recent low? I thought with the war in Ukraine they would continue to fall.
I will look in here from time to time for more hints from you!

Yep I’m a successful investor that is able to take any losses on the chin (it’s all part of investing), without childishly resorting to seeking to blame, harass and stalk a complete stranger. You obviously have some mental issues that you need to resolve, I suggest you do focus on that rather than foolishly continuing with your vendetta-although you’ve gone too far as it is.
