14/3/2022 19:43 | disc0 I'm not entirely sure what you mean by the 'handle'. The term has two meanings in trading that I know of. As to expectations....I don't have any. In these 'interesting times' it's very risky having them. The probability is a retrace back to 4891 to fill todays opening gap. Mr Powell speaks Wednesday evening (GMT). We await the market reaction. fenners You are forgetting the closing auction. | ![]() bracke

14/3/2022 19:17 | 4.29:51 last trade goes through at 5106 UT goes through at 5072 what's that all about - since it gets the closing number - latest trades going through at 18.45 - I strangely thought the market was closed.... | ![]() fenners66
14/3/2022 17:04 | disc0 You will also have noted that the red SMA100 is about to cross below the black SMA200. It hasn't done that since April 2020 just before the start of the 'Big Rise'. Consulting the Runes IF the the market decides enough is not enough and further downside is required and the AHT low on 24th Feb at 4391 is broken to the low.......3800 becomes probable, it being a 50% retrace from the 6572 high and the 996 low plus a s/r zone. | ![]() bracke
14/3/2022 17:03 | Looks like happy hour for AHT bargain hunters is over for the time being, but a good solid performance today... | ![]() perfido
14/3/2022 15:40 | Good day Mr bThe SMA50 looks like a decent guide for your primary trend line (for me as a quick topping up reference anyway!)Have a good one :) | ![]() disc0dave45
14/3/2022 14:59 | Good day disc0 Provided Mr Powell sticks to the 25 basis points he favours it shouldn't have much effect. I suspect it will be the rate increases that come during the course of the year which will determine market direction. Perhaps the press conference after the rate announcement is made may light the way. The chart below shows that the share price has broken above the secondary down sloping trend line but has not reached the primary down sloping trend line. It has reached the top of the horizontal range and filled the 5126 gap. The aim has to be a break and hold above the primary trend line. All of the above notwithstanding the Ukraine situation. 11/3/2022 15:22 | Good day optomistic "please to see you are keeping yourself occupied over here with the wealthy AHT holders :-)" ==================== I was hoping some of the wealth might 'rub off' on me! Having typed that you will have noted that the AHT share price has finally come back closer to earth. I have been watching the trials and tribulations of BP. Oil soaring and BP has to flog off its Russian shares....there's no justice. Perhaps one day the company will return to former glory....perhaps. Good luck with your new investments. My trading has had the best start to the year I've ever had. Nothing to do with my undoubted expertise more to do with trend and volatility. I could say long may it last but not at the expense of the Ukrainians. | ![]() bracke
11/3/2022 14:31 | Good afternoon Bracke, please to see you are keeping yourself occupied over here with the wealthy AHT holders :-) BP not as bright as it would have been due to circumstances beyond our control. Luckily I got out at 393, Now heavy in Lloyds and tinkering in TW. Sorry for off topic folks but got to have a chat with Bracke now and again :-)) | ![]() optomistic
11/3/2022 13:30 | As they stated in todays RNS, they were simply following: UK Corporate Governance Code E.2.2 (incorporated into Provision 4 of the 2018 Code but note threshold is 20% or more of votes cast against. In addition to current requirements, an update on the views received from shareholders and actions taken should be published no later than 6 months after the shareholder meeting. The board should then provide a final summary in the annual report and, if applicable, in the explanatory notes to resolutions at the next shareholder meeting, on what impact the feedback has had on the decisions the board has taken and any actions or resolutions now proposed) | ![]() disc0dave45
11/3/2022 13:23 | Good day Mr bracke,Yep I know, the results were issued on 17th Sept (so the disapproval was there for all to see). The all time closing high share price was November, downtrend only really started in Dec, some 3 months after the AGM......was simply trying to say that there is no evidence to suggest major II's have been selling (no holdings RNS's since the AGM last Sept). IMO world events had more to do with the sell off. | ![]() disc0dave45

11/3/2022 10:12 | having read the AGM statement today it looks like some major shareholders havent likeed the proposed new remuneration package and have decided to leave the building and sell their shares. That could be the reason for the sell off over the last month? | davemccarthy
10/3/2022 16:58 | Good day Mr bracke,Agree, looks more like a dead cat, inflation 7.9% in the US and Putin isn't going to have helped the longer term outlook either. | ![]() disc0dave45
10/3/2022 12:54 | Good day disco As fenners posts the UAE said they want OPEC to increase production. Whether OPEC will agree is another matter. The market thrives on volatility so the UAE statement provided an excellent opportunity to take advantage. I did. I suspect it's more dead cat bounce. My reasoning.... Putin still wants Ukraine either by hook or crook, major economies are facing rising inflation together with the prospect of stagnation i.e. stagflation, still recovering from Covid. That's enough to be going on with. It's certainly not the scenario for improving economies. | ![]() bracke
09/3/2022 23:07 | UAE seems to be wanting to up its oil output - price of oil slipped back to $112 pb abates inflation risk a little | ![]() fenners66
09/3/2022 19:45 | The market always amazes me. Why the mass buying today?, is it the herd mentality as I haven't heard anything other than whispers the ECB may do some bonds as a means of trying to suppress inflation and poo has dropped - or is it a dead cat bounce or is it the bottom? | ![]() disc0dave45
