09/7/2018 17:32 | The EU are not going to give us a fair deal. Better to leave, apply WTO tariffs (German car makers will not like that), and our exporters take advantage of a low £. The idea that we will be able to 'cherry pick' is a non starter. Leave in March, cease payment and make a clean a break as possible. | bracke
09/7/2018 16:22 | Boris resigns, £ drops, FTSE rises and also AHT. | bracke
09/7/2018 12:49 | Did consider a short after doing okay with one at MTC but have no position, intrigued to see how it pans out though and good for improving my personal learning.DD | discodave4
09/7/2018 12:37 | Isn't that what BHS was sold for! The pension problem does not appear as bad as BHS. See link | bracke
09/7/2018 12:30 | £ 1 by Xmas .....for the whole company ? | fenners66
09/7/2018 11:19 | Good day Disco Tut, tut....Have you been 'dissing' a share and as for shorting it I trust you have not gone that far!! I had a look at the DEB chart, very sickly. The share price peaked at the end of 2012 and it's been downhill since then apart from a couple of attempts to pull up. Last time it got near to 100 was May 2015 when it reached 97. As for 100 by Christmas not unless a bidder emerges which is unlikely. Now 'our beloved' SP off to have another go at 2300 which means the gap I mentioned last week is filled. Will it break above 2300? | bracke
09/7/2018 10:14 | Thanks Ian. | discodave4
09/7/2018 09:33 | DD Another one who's lost the plot....! Be in no doubt, your contributions are valued here. In the meantime, AHT is looking a bit more perky this morning.. | ianwwwhite
09/7/2018 08:56 | Morning Ian and thanks. The guy has posted the same on every board I've posted including those I'm invested in......all because he holds DEB and thinks it will be a £1 by year end, whereas I completely disagree! (10p if you're lucky!).DD | discodave4

03/7/2018 16:57 | The share price is 'attracted' to 2200 once again. Attempts to take it down being resisted at 2200. So far the line has held. One can take the view that it has held the line several times and bears will give up the struggle or it's only a matter of time before the bears win. If bears win where will it go? High probability of 2100. I note URI has dropped to its SMA 200. If AHT followed suit it would be 2055. Finally an outside chance of 1890 which was a previous strong support zone but it would take serious negative news/event to go there. | bracke
02/7/2018 10:19 | It didn't like 2200 and it doesn't like 2300. It's will have to make its mind up eventually. There was a gap up on Friday from 2228 which has nearly filled this morning but it has gaped down to-day from 2288. There are approx 40 points on offer if you fancy trading/investing a gap fill. | bracke
29/6/2018 10:45 | Good day bracke, Me neither, I was expecting an RNS or something, but nothing. We could speculate further, but we are not that sort of thread, are we? :-) | ianwwwhite
29/6/2018 10:19 | Good day ian I can't find any news related to AHT. The £ has risen against the $ but that would surely lower the share price so I am at a loss to understand the price action......but of course that's not new. | bracke
29/6/2018 08:53 | After a lacklustre week, 08.52: AHT 2297p, +69p (+3%)...... What's up??? | ianwwwhite
28/6/2018 14:09 | Back to 2200. Fatal Attraction. | bracke

27/6/2018 11:05 | Looks like this might account for the short lived bounce yesterday: ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ Brokers market summary: Equipment rental firm Ashtead also pushed up after saying it has hired former Sage Group chief executive Paul Walker to succeed Chris Cole as chairman. (see also RNS 26/06/18 above) ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ AHT is looking a bit more frisky today but I doubt we are out of the woods yet..... | ianwwwhite
26/6/2018 09:39 | Good day ian It depends how 'insistent' Mr Trump is going to be and the reaction from countries affected. If Mr Trump continues (10% on EU cars) and EU reacts it could easily develop into something nasty which won't blow over fast. In the meantime the share price did retest 2200 and took off like a scalded cat. We await events. | bracke
25/6/2018 18:26 | Thanks bracke Looks like the markets are suffering a general malaise at present, largely due to trade war fears it seems, so AHT is not alone. May take some time to blow over me thinks... | ianwwwhite |
