06/3/2018 08:56 | Bloomberg did a snippet on the share price fall - says the earnings was a beat, but a broker (Morgan Stanley?) said that the forward guidance for 2019 was not strong enough....... | fenners66
06/3/2018 08:49 | The results are excellent. For a company showing this level of growth the forward pe is surprising low. Don’t know why share price is down but initial reactions to results are often strange. | james97
06/3/2018 08:45 | Maybe. But it's been treading water since December... | r ball
06/3/2018 08:44 | What!, 15 too high, pmsl.Just the usual market games IMO.DD | discodave4
06/3/2018 08:39 | Fwd pe is a tad too high.... | r ball
06/3/2018 08:38 | Look at the share price... | r ball
06/3/2018 08:32 | Can you expand on that. | discodave4
06/3/2018 08:31 | No. Not excellent. Might look to get back in later today. | r ball
06/3/2018 08:17 | Excellent results and as ever the share price drops but suspect more to do with resignation of Suzanne Wood?.DD | discodave4
05/3/2018 23:02 | H& E looked as if they reached an all time high today and URI are close to theirs. | fenners66
05/3/2018 22:47 | Thanks DD, looks promising. In the meantime the AHT share buyback spend reached £100 mill today, coincidence or as planned? | ianwwwhite
02/3/2018 21:45 | Could be very well timed purchase but market reaction to results is incredibly unpredictable. Q3 results are usually not that exciting as it is AHTs quietest quarter but hurricane clear up may enhance these. Also very interested in how EPS is effected by change of tax regime. | james97
02/3/2018 16:32 | I'm not certain how you'r going to take this but.......I just bought some 'precious' shares. I'm looking for a bounce on Tuesday. | bracke
02/3/2018 14:19 | An update. The share price has dropped to the red ML which may support but much depends on the US when it opens. A visit to the black horizontal line at 1980 is a fair probability. If that fails to support and depending if the US sells off, the brown horizontal line at 1880 is next support. I'll say no more..............ye | bracke
02/3/2018 12:58 | LOL! I do wonder about some who post on these threads. The share price is dropping/plunging, forecasts are dire, debt is high, the roof is crashing in yet they post everything is ok and it will all come right. I can only assume they are deranged. | bracke
02/3/2018 11:16 | Ouch ! indeed. Seems it wasn't so much a Black Swan as a Grey Swan. Mr Trump had talked about tariffs previously but it appears he has now imposed them and other countries are threatening retaliation. Things they are a changing. | bracke
01/3/2018 19:15 | Thanks bracke, wasn't having a pop at our Elite one. | discodave4
01/3/2018 17:37 | Mr Powell did 'row back' and the market bought it for a while but then some more volatility was called for........such is the market. | bracke
01/3/2018 14:58 | IF Mr Powell 'rows back' on earlier comments the markets are likely to recover to some degree. If he doesn't the share price is likely to drop to 2000. | bracke
01/3/2018 12:56 | Good day Disco The object of posting the chart was to draw attention to the two levels, orange and dashed brown. Once either of those is firmly breached the way ahead is clear. "but which is more likely" ==================== I don't know and neither does anyone else. If you read the forecasts of the supposed 'experts' there are as many forecasting a break and continuation above the high as there are those forecasting a break and continuation below the low. There are a number of factors which will influence the DOW direction which include: US 10 Year Bonds, Inflation, Interest Rate Rises, Black Swans, etc. There are 3400 points between the two levels more than enough to trade. If you are a buy and hold investor you have to keep any eye on the factors I mentioned above. Higher High or Lower Low........take a chance or wait for confirmation? | bracke
28/2/2018 20:06 | Thanks bracke. No offence but even an idiot like myself could deduce that the DOW has three options:up, down, sideways.......but which is more likely?, elite gurus have to know :)DD | discodave4
28/2/2018 18:15 | The chart below may be considered by some to be 'Off Topic'. Agreed it is not directly about AHT but will directly affect 'precious'. The chart is the Daily Dow. At the top is an orange line which is the All Time High (ATH). Mid way down is a dashed brown line which marks the level of the last major move down. Ignore the blue lines. There are three options: 1 Continue rising beyond the ATH to create a higher high and on to the sunny uplands 2 Fail to create a higher high and fall below the dashed brown line ie. a lower high and a lower low and a dash for the door 3 Continue sideways between the orange and the brown but eventually one of the two above will prevail. Each of us will have a view as to the direction but the hardy adage 'trade/invest what you see not what you think' comes to mind Daily Dow | bracke
28/2/2018 17:04 | The share price tried to hold above 2120 but not quire able to. It didn't get any help from the US Indices.....maybe tomorrow | bracke |
