27/2/2018 15:19 | bracke Me sir, no not I, I detest the very thought of selling something that one does not own. Sounds like a practice more in keeping with a West End spiv, trader or scalper... do you know any? | ianwwwhite
27/2/2018 14:03 | SP price action at 2120 may be of interest. At the current rate of ascent it's likely to be short of 2120 at 06 March but..... previous releases of results usually result in a spike upwards which would see the share price straight through 2120 and on to test the previous intraday high of 2185 and closing high of 2152. Sooooo a couple of opportunities. Buy now for the spike or WHO SAID THAT! WHO SAID SHORT AFTER THE SPIKE! IT WAS THAT SCRUFFY OIK AT THE BACK WASN'T WHITE MINOR!! Five hundred lines for you white "I must not mention the 'S' word in connection with our precious". | bracke
27/2/2018 14:01 | Ian, remember this next Q is their annual weakest set of numbers, so any like for like increase would be spectacular. | rescuer
27/2/2018 13:05 | One week to go - 'third quarter results for the period ended 31st January 2018 will be announced on Tuesday 6th March 2018.' It will be interesting to see what the full year outlook estimates look like. In the meantime AHT has been looking quite perky, although volumes have been a bit lower of late.... . | ianwwwhite
22/2/2018 19:34 | Thanks bracke.The DOW and URI bouncing back......guess we will follow tomorrow (should I say hope).DD | discodave4
22/2/2018 12:01 | SP holding above the Daily SMA 50. | bracke
21/2/2018 16:50 | FED Minutes at 7.00 pm may affect. | bracke
21/2/2018 09:01 | Took some profit from IGG and have placed it in the safe keeping of AHT. With results due hoping for higher highs and no lows. AS always I live in hope. Cheers | 2flatpack
20/2/2018 19:36 | Good day bracke.Push on up towards 2150 is my preference, pre or post results not fussy!.DD | discodave4
20/2/2018 16:58 | The 'slug' of volume arrived and has punched the share price above the Daily SMA50. Next Move Push on towards 2130 where it may meet some resistance. Or Drop back to test the Daily SMA 50. | bracke
20/2/2018 11:34 | Good day Disco S/holders are counting their profits and hoping for another visit to the high then infinity and beyond. Prospective S/holders are waiting for a sizeable drop before buying. And the share price still banging its head against the Daily SMA 50. | bracke
19/2/2018 22:05 | Thanks bracke.Bit quiet on here these days!. | discodave4
15/2/2018 13:42 | Good day ian Not a lot but a reasonable sum. It's not just trading the market at times of high volatility but also being aware of the way the Spread Bet companies operate when it is occurring. ie. slow to let you out, slow to let you in. | bracke
14/2/2018 18:17 | I imagine that you are in the former category? Well done! | ianwwwhite
14/2/2018 17:54 | Cynical perhaps but I've seen it happen too many times before. A lot of money made by some to-day and a lot lost by others. | bracke
14/2/2018 17:51 | Thanks bracke, but cynical, very cynical! Glad to hear you made a few bucks on the FTSE gyrations though... :-) | ianwwwhite
14/2/2018 16:39 | 'They' don't like this either. It's also OPEX on Friday so the lead up to that usually results in some 'jiggery pokery'. | bracke
14/2/2018 16:34 | ian It was largely the January fall in retail sales wot done it. The US Market knows exactly how to react!! Drop the indices, take out the stops (500 points on the DOW does that). Then when all the longs are wiped out and had to short to get out, reverse it and ride the wave up. I managed to ride some of the wave on FTSE. That US move will have caused considerable distress and a queue at the workhouse. | bracke
14/2/2018 15:26 | I am assuming that it was the release of the higher US CPI (inflation) figures at 13.30 GMT which caused the sharp drop but the subsequent market recovery seems to indicate the US markets are not too sure how to react....? | ianwwwhite
14/2/2018 12:55 | Good day ian I agree. Plus the prospect of an increase in interest rate but also the prospect of US spending on infrastructure. | bracke
14/2/2018 11:47 | God morning bracke From an investors point of view, current AHT share price fluctuations seem to be being driven by the wider market sentiment, so probably not much to say until the 3Q Results are announced on 6th March. In the meantime I'm still holding! :-) . | ianwwwhite
14/2/2018 11:03 | Nothing being posted so an off topic. Good day fenners I note BOD have had another placing which is no surprise; Directors remuneration doesn't grow on trees or as diamonds in the ground it seems. The one thing that puzzles me is who is still buying the placings in a company that is a dead loss? | bracke
08/2/2018 16:44 | Good day Disco That's how us Elite Gurus hedge our analysis. We allude to something but don't state it. Thus if it occurs we say "as expected, see post XXXXX". If fails to occur we post nothing or if challenged say that it wasn't stated. Such are the ways of the 'Enlightened Ones'.........somewh Here's the closing chart. | bracke
08/2/2018 16:42 | So much for yesterdays (part) recovery! | room_101 |
