Morning bracke
Looking at the chart I would say the last pitchfork is no longer reverent and the main factor is the down trend.
I note the 100 day is holding us up at the moment.
I intend to start buying at the 150 day 1973 and jump in whole heatedly at the 200 day 1890. If or when, as ever I live in hope.
Re. charity
With my losses on IQE ,I am cap in hand myself.
Cheers

I thought those interested in charts may find this one of interest.

You will note where the drop is currently supported but I would not put money on it holding. There maybe a retrace up before it drops below the trend line but I doubt very much that the gap will be filled.

Those who short (a dirty word) may be considering doing so if/when it breaks below the trend line. That support at 1885 looks very tempting doesn't it.

Good day Disco

It seems the rise in 10 year Treasuries to 3.0% has burst the DOW bubble and those associated with it.

Good day 2flat

Well done with your trades.

Will you be making a charitable contribution to the engelbreth savings account?

Just noticed below the charts ,is that an advert for etoro?
I see whitebeam20 has done well, yearly gain of 47.47%,
but engelbreth not so well, with a yearly gain of 6.04%.
A buy and hold strategy would have given a yearly gain of 30% plus divi.
That's why I ask is it an advert?
Should they not be pointing englbreth towards a saving's account.
Cheers

Had one hell of a run this month.
Have taken profit on my trading shares.
The charts look good to me but I suspect the URI falls will effect sentiment sooner or later.
Cheers

Don't think it will bracke.......more likely to drop, DOW down over 2% due to interest rates and URI down 5%.DD

The share price again resisted at previous resistance.

Maybe one more 'shove' tomorrow will do the trick but if the £ rises against the $ it may spoil things.

I believe they are looking for £700 million to keep it afloat.

EDIT

"Outsourcer Capita surged after it gave details of how it planned to spend proceeds of its £701m rights issue on a new strategy amid a "significant deterioration" in new business wins and a £513m loss before tax."

Bearing in mind that AHT is heavily affected by the economic cycle and that the US is a long way through the cycle.Perhaps that is the reason for the market reaction. Whatever the reason it pales into insignificance against a Trump Tweet.

Thanks for the link and your comments. I share you view, AHT seems to be executing their growth strategy as planned, so no cause for alarm there.

Looking forward to seeing the full year's figures in June, particularly the free cash figure, and how this is to be utilised.

IanFrom their Annual Report 2017, Growth Strategy 2021:-"Our goal in the medium to long term is to double our market share in the US and grow it by 50% in the UK".Cannot find a split for North America which would include Canada.The article below only mentions increasing the location footprint of Sunbelt by 50%, it's not country specific or revenue specific, so could possibly just assume that its growth has achieved 50% in the first half of their 5 year plan and thus their 2021 strategy of doubling in the US is on target - in which case nothing new really!.hTTp://www.proactiveinvestors.co.uk/companies/news/195331/ashtead-group-predicts-full-year-results-in-line-with-expectations-as-it-prepares-investor-event-195331.htmlDD

From Daily Mail Market Report 20th Apr:

~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
"Industrial equipment rental group AHT slipped after it revealed plans to increase its North American footprint by 50%.
In a trading update, the firm which lets out drills, diggers, pumps and ventilation equipment said its full year results will be in line with expectations. Shares fell 1.6%, or 33p to 2069 (on 19th Apr)"
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~

If true, a somewhat surprising reaction in my view!

Good day Disco

I think you will see on the chart below the reason for the dashed magenta. On two occasions it has been resistance for major swing highs. It also defines the shoulders of a 'head & shoulders'. The share price needs to break above this resistance to make an attempt at an All Time High.

I note it tried again today but failed. Perhaps it will retrace before another attempt.
