17/4/2018 13:46 | Having broken above the black down trend line it looks good for the ML and maybe the dashed magenta. AHT DAILY | bracke
15/4/2018 13:23 | Good day LAIRD If you read up on Breakaway Gap you will see that the gap you refer to fulfils the criteria for a Breakaway. I suggest that the price action since the gap supports the analysis of Breakaway. I don't argue that at some point it will fill, it's a question of when. With Mr Trump in the White House we live in 'interesting times'. Who knows what he will say or do! BTW I have kept records of Daily close/open FTSE gaps since 2009. Of the 577 I have recorded 20 (3.46%) are unfilled and 6 of those occurred in 2018. | bracke
13/4/2018 21:29 | Hi Bracke good day to you. Sorry but I am not knowledgeable enough to give an educated opinion. I can only say that the three shares I dabble in, usually allways fill the gaps. (eventually) AHT, AGL, TLW. | lairddavid
13/4/2018 19:13 | Thanks bracke, appreciate your feedback.........day trading though is not for me.DD | discodave4
13/4/2018 17:06 | Good day Laird You don't think it was a Breakaway Gap? | bracke
13/4/2018 17:06 | Plus 29p @ £20.60 at the close, must be an AHT Friday! I think brackes' view was that that was a 'breakaway' gap, so not necessarily a problem. Two posturing bullies with their fingers poised over nuclear triggers is a bit more of a concern! . | ianwwwhite
13/4/2018 16:34 | Shame about the gap at 1930, just leaves room for doubt. | lairddavid
13/4/2018 15:58 | Nice to see (for holders and those long) that the share price has broken above resistance. It should now continue to the ML at approx 2080. Thereafter resistance is at 2120. | bracke
13/4/2018 15:49 | Good day Disco "didn’t somebody say the biggest risks in trading/investing is not knowing what you are doing!" ==================== If somebody didn't then somebody should! My conclusion is that if you are going to intra or day trade by self learning then 4/5 years is required to gain the necessary knowledge and experience to start making a profit. During the 4/5 year learning period all the mistakes will be made more than once. So best to trade small and not get carried away when you have a good trade. A little learning is a dangerous thing. | bracke
13/4/2018 09:31 | ps think it was the man himself, Buffett, who said it. | discodave4
13/4/2018 09:28 | Morning bracke,Haven't the know how or gonads for Index trading.......didn't somebody say the biggest risks in trading/investing is not knowing what you are doing!.Just buy and hold suits me.....with a smattering of spread betting for fun lol.Have a good one.DD | discodave4
12/4/2018 12:49 | Good day Disco I am still holding AHT shares which are showing a small profit. I note this morning the share price broke above 2027 but is now dropping back for another test. I have been trading the FTSE but it has become becalmed and appears to be ignoring the Syria/Trump situation. I have played with fire and traded the DOW a couple of times but on a very short interval intra day basis. | bracke
11/4/2018 19:07 | Thanks bracke.How's things?You in, out, or shaking it about?DD | discodave4
11/4/2018 16:32 | Ref Post 55110 The share price duly rose to 2027 where as expected it met resistance. Hopefully the Daily SMA 200 at 2000 will support EDIT That should be: Hopefully the Daily SMA 100 at 2000 will support. The Daily SMA 200 is at approx 1870. | bracke
10/4/2018 22:42 | New York investors day this week | smcni1968
10/4/2018 12:43 | Bracke, I agree, good job we're not the worrying kind of folk, given the global situation. I wouldn't be surprised if we get another 'market shock' for one reason or another. Do nothing, hide behind the sofa again, is still my preferred strategy :-) | ianwwwhite
10/4/2018 12:09 | Good day ian It appears that the 'China Tariff' situation has gone off the boil so the market is happy.......for the time being. Next up Syria reprisal and FBI raid on Trump's lawyer. Never a dull moment. | bracke
10/4/2018 11:57 | Good morning bracke Thanks for the chart and guidance, appreciated as always. Nice to see AHT looking quite perky at present :-) | ianwwwhite
10/4/2018 11:09 | The share price has broken through 1980 resistance but may want to drop back to test it. Next target 2027. Then the green ML, The rising red line is the Daily SMA 200. AHT DAILY | bracke
06/4/2018 19:05 | Update?, nothing until finals in June as far as I know.DD | discodave4
06/4/2018 16:34 | ali I didn't know there was an AHT update. It wouldn't have made any difference to me if I had. The situation with the share price hasn't greatly changed. It is hovering at the ML (middle green) and a previous high (black horizontal line). If it's going to make an attempt to move to the highs it has to break above the ML and continue to move up beyond the previous minor swing high at 2026. Viewing the 4 and 2 hour charts suggests that it maybe consolidating. | bracke
06/4/2018 08:27 | sorry bracke for the typo - i meant update | ali47fish
05/4/2018 14:56 | bracke any idea what all this means for the udate tomorrow? | ali47fish |
