30/11/2015 17:43 | Topicel Just a thought re your funding for Christmas operation. Is AHT really the worst holding in your portfolio? They do say that investing is like gardening, one shouldn't dig up the flowers and water the weeds!! No advice intended, and in any event congratulations on turning a profit. | ianwwwhite
30/11/2015 17:29 | bracke Re: Selling following a spike up on results day seems a good idea. Holding on for £12 is also quite a good idea!! (lol!) Decisions, decisions | ianwwwhite
30/11/2015 17:22 | I thought it may be useful to show what an indirect holding is. Topicel Why did you think BlackRock had reduced their short position? | bracke
30/11/2015 17:19 | Topicel Selling following a spike up on results day seems a good idea. Presents for Mrs Topicel.....I'm sure you could find something for her from the link below. Reduced prices. | bracke
30/11/2015 16:48 | bracke: 51489: Their indirect holding of 24,395,359 (4.84%) is a reduction. On 25 November 2014 their holding was above 5% and prior to that on 08 October 2014 their holding was below 5%. Topicel: 51490: Yes, a reduction of their short position indeed. Really? | ianwwwhite
30/11/2015 16:37 | Lol, we are all trading, it is just the length of the trade that varies. That is unless you buy for the dividends only but there are better companies for that than AHT I suspect.... Decision has been made Bracke, hold fro results as I indicated last week with a 1068 stop, an old gap that I'm fond of as it proved pivotal for me. Mind you, starting on my choc advent calendar tomorrow so reminded that Santa will need paying for her indoors' present soon enough so as with so much I might change my mind again depending on developments. Nice to be the right side of the curve for once. Topicel | topicel
30/11/2015 14:43 | Good day uppompeii And when will you sell? | bracke
30/11/2015 14:38 | Not being a trader I shall continue to hold. | uppompeii
30/11/2015 14:27 | Good day Topicel Decision time!! To sell or not to sell. | bracke
30/11/2015 14:10 | Holding in Company Black Rock Inc Their indirect holding of 24,395,359 (4.84%) is a reduction. On 25 November 2014 their holding was above 5% and prior to that on 08 October 2014 their holding was below 5%. | bracke
30/11/2015 13:58 | Mmm, with that reaction methinks others have come to the same conclusion .... Topicel | topicel
30/11/2015 13:50 | So are Blackrock reducing their short position? No clarity in that RNS but I understood them to be short previously. Topicel | topicel
28/11/2015 09:58 | And to you bracke. | kilgallp
27/11/2015 17:01 | Topicel, And a good weekend to you too! | ianwwwhite
27/11/2015 16:57 | bracke, lol! Have a good weekend all, but take an umbrella - damn, this forecasting lark is infectious! | ianwwwhite
27/11/2015 16:54 | I don't toddle, I wobble, said Mr. Weeble.... At least as Bracke says I am trying harder, and seeing as I only swing the one way I have to over-compensate. "The road is long...but the time taken has not been onerous so I am pleased with the apprenticeship so far. Anyway, all my school reports opined "must try harder" so nothing new there! Bon weekend a tous. Topicel | topicel
27/11/2015 16:33 | Topicel Ref FRES I note the sellers have moved in, so a retrace rather than an attempt at the previous high. A visit to the Daily SMA 200 seems probable. | bracke
27/11/2015 16:22 | ian You are being a little harsh on Topicel. He has only recently commenced his apprenticeship and on occasion attempts to toddle before he can crawl but he shows promise. As you have noted he is developing the technique of 'sliding' from one call to another but has some way to go before mastering the technique. We at the Guru Academy are watching him. As you post, he does need to try harder. | bracke
27/11/2015 15:53 | Topicel, you old ramper! re '£11 by late November I believe I said...well, almost!' post 51474 ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ I believe what you actually said was something like: 02/08/15: 51005 £10-50 to £11.00 during August 05/08/15: 51012 possibly an M&A target (!) 13/08/15: 51033 £10.50 by early September 09/10/15: 51294 £11 by end of October 23/10/15: 51374 Maybe £11 by November 02/11/15: 51390 £11 early November I guess that by the law of averages, one of your forecasts wiil eventually come right, but I do think they should be caveated with a warning for the unwary. As a matter of fact I believe it was bracke who first mentioned the possibility of £11 by the end of November, if resistance was overcome: 51281 7/10/15 If you want to be considered an elite guru like bracke, you'll have to try harder! | ianwwwhite
27/11/2015 15:25 | Ashtead is now covered by no less than eighteen analysts and remarkably not one has less than an outperform rating. So it would be a major surprise if the half yearly report is less than sparkling. If there is any hint of a slowdown though ... | broadwood
27/11/2015 15:11 | I agree with binliners. No wedge on the Daily chart but there is a rising channel. | bracke
27/11/2015 14:58 | Suddenly there is some resistance at 1088, 100,000 worth. Just when I was hoping for an ashtead Friday, ps If that was you Tropicel,I was only joking. Cheers | 2flatpack
27/11/2015 14:42 | Topicel You look to be a classic Aht,er totally committed and indecisive, Welcome to the club. See you at £13. Cheers | 2flatpack |
