17/11/2017 17:25 | Yump, having held shares in the old ofex market, I'm not averse to dead slow... Though in some cases the 'and stop' I could have done without!! ;)Infact that's where I first heard of Ashley House, though never invested. I saw the thread on advfn a few weeks, ago, hadn't realized what had been announced, read it, and the rest as they say... history.Odd thing to say about such a small company, but becoming a core likely long term holding already. | microscope
17/11/2017 17:01 | I'm sure we won't have to be as patient as in the past from now on ! (although that gave way to hope rather than patience in my case). Sooner or later the hunt for small stocks with changed potential should give some publicity. Probably not quite so easy to get your head around the business as it is with a box-shifter, so might take a while. | yump
17/11/2017 13:48 | Looks like we are back to boring old Ashley House, small boredom selling, edged lower, on thin volumes.... .... Suits me! Just topped up incase next week's autumn statement reminds people of what a great place this company is now in! | microscope
16/11/2017 09:06 | Just in case today's announcement of £60bn debt being put back on Housing Association books is confusing (I know I was puzzled): From 2015: "Housing associations have been reclassified as public sector bodies by official statisticians in a move that will add about £60bn to government debt, an increase of 4 per cent. The decision could potentially lead to fewer homes being built as the government seeks to control borrowing, say the housing providers." ie. as a result the housing associations had limits on their borrowing/financing imposed by government, so couldn't necessarily build what they wanted. Now they don't. | yump
14/11/2017 13:40 | Thanks micro. I was looking at the spread on Mobile ADVFN. As you say, your dummy bids do seem more sensible. Will check it out. | palwing13
14/11/2017 12:09 | Think only traders would be worried by the actual difference. I put in a dummy buy and a dummy sell, for smallish amounts, came up as 11.47 and 11.27. Seen a lot worse | microscope
14/11/2017 11:37 | Depends what you're here for I guess. | yump |
