"Preliminary wells drilled around Blackpool have uncovered 5.6tn cubic metres (200tn cubic ft) – equal to the kind of recoverable reserves of big energy exporting countries such as Venezuela, according to Cuadrilla Resources, a small energy company which has the former BP boss Lord Browne on its board.
It said up to 800 more wells might be drilled in the region, creating 5,600 jobs and promising a repeat of the "shale gas revolution" that swept the US, sending local energy prices spinning downwards."

I have put a link to the website that monitors the progress of the arbitration (ICSID) in the header.
At the moment each side are nominating their experts.
It should be over within twelve months all being well !

News on the 2nd payment due from our Slovenian partner could drop any time now unless I have misinterpreted the word "shortly". I understand that shortly is sooner than imminent in investing circles lol.

Wouldn't be surprised. They seem to be in panic mode trying to come out of the reliance on russian oil/gas.
Do have the greens to deal with though and their NGO's so see what happens.

"Dispute with JV Partner, Geoenergo

Furthermore, the parties are still in dispute with regard to a difference in interpretations of the RJOA relating to which wells Ascent is entitled to revenues from whilst it is in a preferential cost recovery position
(i.e. until it has received cash flows in excess of its EUR50 million historic investment).
The different interpretations hinge on which wells produced above a baseline production profile (defined in the RJOA) should be included in the calculation. Depending on the interpretation this could result in significant additional revenues for the period in question."

This wl be addressed in mediation in mid sep .the figure is between 3 and 5 million to be paid to ascent .also be advised this will be agreed on the day what needs to be paid if anything at all .shoukd see a nice build upto 10p to 12p by mid sep hopefully

The "other wells" are indeed a mystery !
I was lead to believe nobody was touching them so it comes as a surprise the joint partner has been extracting gas from them.
A surprise because our company are meant to be financing it all and obviously haven't been !
For how long has the joint partner been extracting gas ?
Where does this figure 3 million euros come from ?

Did Colin know about there was a question whether were entitled to revenue for the gas from the "other wells" ?
