So Rockhopper are to get 6 times the amount they had invested as compensation.

The £50m AST invested in Slovenia if dealt with similarly would end up as £300m.
Just a third of that would do for me.
Time for the ECT to get engaged. Just give it time....

Unless the Slovenian government decide to quietly buy AST up through the local Geoenergo for £100m and then own the lot. That would be c. 90p a share

Another one of my investments, BUR, are in this business. They fund litigation for a % of the proceeds.

An attraction of BUR was that they were uncorrelated with the market, hopefully they are also uncorrelated with AST.

Surely we can hire a gas cleaning piece of kit - all it does is remove carbon dioxide !
These sky high gas prices open up many new avenues !

People asking for fracking to be allowed now in the UK. Would take about ten years to make any dent in today's crisis.However over in Slovenia already established set up get a gas cleaning plant built quickly open up the wells and there you go Slovenia.Hmmm who has such a set up.

The Slovenian Government were hoping we'd go bust and they would not have to pay out but now we are awash with money !

Anyway does low level stimulation hurt the environment at all ? I think not !

They were discussed in the justin waite podcast yesterday with one Dan lane. Not a lot we don't know already but they seemed to think the case pretty straight forward just the timelines on progress unknown for now.

If we'd had been given permission to low level frack then we would be producing 33 million cubic metres of natural gas annually from PG-10 and PG-11A.
We'd be getting around £3 a cubic metre NET !

There are eight other wells !

Life of the wells would be around forty years !

Total Revenue £39 billion !!

That's a lot for the Slovenian Government to pay out if we win !

GCI: your table has claim-in-£m = SP-in-p so you're thinking a share price of £1, possibly £2 is on the cards? Not as much fun as £40 but we'll have to take what we can get.

Timescales are of course paramount, 100-200m over 25 years is less interesting (to me) than over 2-5 years.

CI: good point. But if they are stiffed (the £25M example above is pretty much 5p in the £ on €500m) why would anyone else bother investing in plant or infrastructure in Slovenia?

How credible is €500M? If not, what is a realistic figure?

Third, well-developed economic as well as social infrastructure contributes its part to the international competitive position of the country.10 Mar 2021


They better pay up as that inward foreign investment would be in danger.
