People are really under-estimating AST. Remember it's a firm called Enyo Law and not the AST BOD that are fighting this case. Now I've done my research on Enyo Law and they seem fantastic. A history of their cases show they've worked on cases in the billions and won them. Our dispute will be light work for them considering the scale and size of cases they've won.

Don't worry any money received is for Parsons and Dennans pension pot.Doubt we will see any of it with those sharks there.

Thats a huge claim. Slovenians must be starting to wish they'd ignored the stupid environmentalists and just allowed them to drill the bloody well.

Seems to be some sort of accumulation going on. Huge buys have been going through regularly here inspite of the constant sells

Below's pretty damning though..

"A report by the Wilfried Martens Center for European Studies (WMCES) found that the Russian government provided €82 million in funding to NGOs tasked with persuading EU national governments to stop shale gas exploration. The WMCES also reported that the Kremlin had used various “informal intermediaries,̶1; notably firms and individuals based in tax havens, to fund EU-based environmental groups. This made it difficult for EU policymakers to follow the money trail to Russia."

However.
"The Russian government funded environmental lobby groups to campaign against the extraction of shale gas in order to stop Europe from embracing this alternative source of energy and maintain its reliance on Russian energy, a report from the Polish Press Agency (PAP) claims."

is likely more to do with..
"In the late 2000s, there had been much speculation that Poland had substantial shale gas capacity. However, potential mining companies claimed at the time that the exploration of most of the reserves would be uneconomical."

Gas being a lot dearer than 2000 perhaps Poland wants to frack, would be wise for Slovenia to do the same might save them 500M euro's.

Doubt it was the russians more likely the green industry but there was a right bunch of muppet groups got together to attack drilling in slovenia .Dozen or so from memory and their gov pandered to them all the way down the line.
They can be found through google if anyone's got the inclination, should have sent the lot of them to siberia imo.

There was the cancelled attempt to raise cash out of South Africa wasn't there between times.

I would not be surprised, with the agreement of the AMC BOD, to see an agreed deal with 2 Ascent shares for every 21 AMC. That would give the equivalent of a placing at 3.05p for Parsons. The sort of price that is acceptable in the current market for about 124 million new shares.

Not sure what shareholders of both companies would think though.

Be careful.

If it is just a disguised cashcall its been a long time in the planning..

"Ascent submitted a non-binding indicative proposal to the Board of Amur in November 2022"

In answer to what happens if they lose the court cases should imagine the market will lose interest in the stock and it will crash and burn as we all try to exit the stock together?

Glad to see some realise this "bid" for what it really is.

And that is a "disguised" cash raise by Ascent Resources.

Money to keep the BOD in place and paid in the manner they believe they are worth.

It is extraordinary to see the lengths Parsons has, and will, to go to keep the wheels on the wagon.

It suggests to me that any legal action is not going to bring home the bacon, anytime soon.

If it fails, what is the next episode of the soap opera going to be?

Be careful.

2 things come to mind.
1. Love their idea of fair value for the amer holders...
"the indicative proposal is equivalent to a gross equity valuation of 6.1 pence per new Ascent share"

2. Comes across they're very sure of winning their ICSID cases. Wonder if the confidence is well founded? Shares are a bargain if so. See how they do round 1 in a couple of weeks.

Amur proposal = an admission that they can't raise money anywhere else.
