In the last hastily-convened investor meeting I seemed to remember KS said that based on what was the norm he expected the court to announce in June whether whether they had sufficient information to make a ruling, or seek further clarification. Or something similar.

TAVSAN: This is from the RNS - "We will provide further updates on this matter in due course, particularly once a new expert committee is appointed."

Did we get that confirmation that the Expert Committee was appointed?

Did the Co subsequently say they expected the Court case to be resolved by the end of June? I can't find that quote. Was it a verbal statement made by Kerim.

It's a shame there is no mechanism for asking questions tomorrow at the AGM.

Does your argument that nominee votes were not received or processed in time only apply to the votes against (to support your bias)? Surely the same would apply to positive votes too, meaning statistically the percentage for and against would stay the same.

shortarm, i wanted to be sure i was getting the interpretation of the figures correct. if they are saying 18m voted against mdv then i think that is extremely unlikely to be a true total. that is my view.

You wanted to be absolutely sure. And now that you are absolutely sure you're intimating that it is not correct, interesting.

just wanted to be sure. it is extremely unlikely that 18m is the true totality of votes against. perhaps nominee companies didnt receive votes in time, or didnt process them in time, or aau simply ignored them, or whatever. it is why i didnt bother voting this time.

Some of you people should keep your investments in cash under the bed FFS! Or you are just troublemakers!!!

The AGM was held as an in-person meeting and votes were conducted by a show of hands. All
resolutions were voted through on that basis, with a representative from Computershare present
counting the votes. All resolutions were carried unanimously, with no dissenting votes. As the
following proxies were also overwhelmingly in favour of all resolutions, it was unnecessary to call a
poll and, accordingly, the following proxy votes are therefore for information purposes only.
EXACT FIGURES WERE PUBLISHED 23RD SEPTEMBER!

so they count the proxy votes and then ignore them, but reassure us that they were voted the right way? But the articles allow them to ignore them anyway? So if a billion shares vote MdV out (say) they can ignore that and just count a few million shares voted in person?

This fits nicely with the general attitude to shareholders.

Previous AGM:

The AGM votes were conducted by a show of hands and all resolutions were voted through on that basis, with a representative from Computershare present in the room counting the votes. All resolutions were carried unanimously, with no dissenting votes. There was therefore no requirement to rely on the proxy votes, which is what has been published before.

While the company encouraged shareholders to cast their proxy votes, it is prescribed in the companyâ€͐2;s articles that General Meeting voting may take place by a show of hands or proxy. As all the resolutions voted for proxy were carried, with 90% or more in favour, it was decided a voting by show of hands was appropriate. This was agreed by the board and by Computershare.

Wonder if they have agreed that as well this year.

If Shareholders are given access to Proxy votes via their Brokers, is it possible to ignore those many thousands of votes and just base the decision on a show of hands at the AGM. It is not as though more than a handful will turn up to the AGM. Does not seem right to me.

Disenfranchises the majority of shareholders who can't attend. That would be all the big holders then.
OK though the pitchforks have been put away for now 😄

No mention of publishing the voting numbers this year, so I assume they won't be. Some things at AAU can change quickly.

They will probably go by a show of hands again, as they did last year, which effectively disenfranchises the majority of shareholders who can't attend.
