Hope your right but I'm more in souls camp on this one. On another note I've never followed PUR but read their rns after comments today. Some on this board have a go a management as everyone always things they can do better but bloody hell whos managed that down a hell hole. Puts things in perspective.

I'm not so sure, could be but seems a little fast...he mentions it after saying news but not in the same sentence. No matter will be nice to get any news on Tavsan soon, speculation is the only fun to be had in the current markets haha

Copper is and increasingly will be one of the most prized commodities in the near future and so where better be placed than the home of it.

Yep plenty to go at. But you only need to look at the lowly valuations around at the moment.
Look at Afp for a start. Two largish scale copper projects sat with tier 1 companies and it's own prospect in Namibia that 'should' be in production before Apliki and you can pick it up today for less than £6m.

Not a chance 8rad. It would be nice to think you are right but I think you are wrong and really wrong 😉
$5m for 30% at best imo.

Big question here is what price Venus will be pitched. Any guesses .. mine is 10% for $25m.

Thanks for bringing my attention to the carnage at PUR.. I was invested there and sold out about half way up on the huge rise, I'd more than doubled my money so was happy, missed out on a fair additional chunk by selling out quickly. They are back where they were before it all now. Crikey.

I think the delays in permitting etc due to covid forced their hand to drill and increase the resource now they are bringing everything together. I appreciate the complexity of their JVs and it may well put off buyers of the company but it wasn't too long ago many on the board were worried about it being taken out too cheaply. I for one don't want a company coming in at these prices. 20p I may consider it .

I read the proactive investor reference to tarsvan as being related to drill results, they are also buying land and in discussion with banks re funding.

Anyone hazard a guess at the imminent Tavsan news? Can only be positive and it's not going to be related to the latest drill campaign by the sounds of it?

O/T I just noticed that I have now been on ADVFN for over 17 years and without doubt this is the best board I have come across on here. There is a genuine exchange of opinions and no real animosity. Long may it continue.

The special div paid on Friday has not reached any of our ISA accounts with AJ Bell but it has on the SIPP accounts. If you hold Ariana in an ISA check your statements especially with AJ Bell. I have informed them but happened in 4 separate ISA accounts so looks like a failing somewhere. Worth checking everybody.

Yep PUR a perfect example of how not to do an underground mine Shortarm.

Yep I'm with you Jaf. But it all fits doesn't it. The low key promotion/communication and unwillingness to change. Keeping a broker that doesn't promote the company as it should. Not getting extra bodies in to strengthen the board.
If I was a dragon on dragons den I would be getting ready to say I'm out. Unfortunately there aren't enough saying I'm in for those very reasons.

Charles, I believe AAU already has a poison pill by way of significant dependence on a few key staff, unfortunately this is also its main weakness from an investors viewpoint as were any to walk/fall over, it would have a considerable impact on our investment value.

If you want an example of bad management look at PUR!Kerim and the MD of PUR were in a presentation together in August 2020 and PUR sounded great - tea went from 70p ish to over 150p....And then.......

Agree Charles/Jaf but if so it's a poor way to run a company and basically it's not going to do shareholders any good and hardly in the same vein as rewarding long term shareholders spoken about in the divvy Rns.
But it's a tightrope walk if that is what is happening because if the only market for shares continues to leave or not invest due to such shenanigans and leave the company constantly undervalued then a company might just take it anyway, especially the big one closely associated to it.
But shareholders are here to make money and not be part of Kerims games.
If that is what is happening I would suspect more PIs, including me, would head for the door.

Charles,

I agree with you. KS is not stupid. I used to think that the 'failings' of the company, such as poor PR, were just poor management - I am now firmly of the belief that the company is being run exactly how the board wants the company to be run. IMO, we should hold, buy or sell shares here on that basis.

Soul - regarding your comment earlier about project complexity I wonder if this has anything to do with the poison pill theory. A simple setup is much easier to take over than a complex one. Kerim has worked hard to get the company to this stage and isn't going to let it go easily. Maybe some little chunks along the way but not all at once.
