There is a vast range of options between high risk and keeping $15m in the bank. I cannot believe that there has been nothing suitable for Ariana to invest in during the past 12 months or so.

Depends on your appetite for risk there are plenty of stocks who take high risk with shareholders funds and many who have done it and not survived. I'm personally happy with progress made to date and the knowledge that if money is to be deployed it's being done in a considered manner. Yes I agree they could be more bullish and market better as that definitely is not a strength of the board.

Exactly Plasybryn.

Good to have Nigel still batting for Ariana but he was bullish at 5.7p and 4.7p. If only the same faith was paid by PG.

Steady as she goes is not good enough for me either. It is a statement to mediocrity and under performance. I want to see boundaries being pushed and to feel there is energy being applied to move projects forward as quickly as possible. To know the right people with the right skills are being deployed to the relevant tasks. Not allowing one CEO to somehow manage everything with no delegation. The potential is there and it needs to be exploited. Like the story in the bible, use your talents don't hide them under a bushel.

Hi Plas, Yes it's from Nigel's report in regards to todays RNS, still conservative I think.

Cinoib I am in many others but not Hum or Aaz.
The reason I am here is there is plenty of quality in the portfolio, unfortunately that doesn't extend into the BoD.
However the reason I don't own a lot more and as many as I used to is for the very reasons stated above.
If I am not willing to put more of my hard earned in here or reinvest my divvy, having been here since around 2005/6 and knowing the company inside out, then what chance have they of attracting new investors.

soulsaurce, everything you aid above is bang on, so why are you still holding when there are better things out there just waiting for you to have a go at, but not Aaz or Hum as they are in the same predicament and I see no way either will come good untill there is a mountain of clarification in one and some heads rolled in the other.

Plasybryn great idea but again as Jaf says.

The problem is here people too often post they are happy with steady as she goes, exampled perfectly with bigglesbingham above.
That suits Kerim down to the ground and there is no wonder nothing changes.

Well I want more Ariana with attitude. We shouldn't settle for steady as she goes. Steady as she goes is why Tavsan is going to be nearly 5yrs late.
Steady as she goes is why many PIs have walked away or reduced holdings and why the Sp is 3.75p instead of 6.75p.
Steady as she goes is why PIs aren't buying back in, in numbers that can increase the share price
Steady as she goes is not in the best interests of shareholders imo. Show some ambition for gods sake Ariana.
Saying you are happy with steady as she goes and then expecting things to change isn't going to work.

If that happened, I would double my holding immediately and happily sit back and wait for the forthcoming rewards.

But it won't happen - KS has the power and the position, neither of which IMO will he give up voluntarily.

Someone said we don't only need to recruit a business development/investor relations/communications Director, but also an acquisition/Mergers and Acquisitions (M&A) Director. I wholeheartedly support that idea. If they are any good, they will be self funding in short order. With the sort of liquid capital we have and no doubt the list of prospects knocking on our door, these should be no brainer appointments. Kerim can then concentrate on what he loves and what he is good at.

I never expected them to have numerous ventures lined up bigglesbingham but I did expect them to have something as alluded to in the jv rns and that the money was not just going to sit in a bank losing value. That is being realistic.
It has already lost significant value given interest rates compared to inflation over the year, even more when what we pay for most as a miner (fuel etc) has gone up more than inflation.
Also miners are on the cusp of becoming dearer.
The longer a home is not found for that money the more of a nonsense the jv becomes.
You sound as though you are prepared to let it languish in a bank indefinitely bigglesbingham 😏

It's a shame Panmure Gordon aren't advertising those sorts of valuations showing the sum of the parts as outline in your Note Renniks. I must say the numbers look very conservative and the numbers for Salinbas should add quite a bit. Let's hope the Salinbas drill programme starts to add even more confidence to earlier PG Salinbas numbers. I hope you don't mind but I have copied that across to LSE. I'm wondering if it is a Nigel Somerfield piece. Can you confirm?

I strongly believe the reasons to JV with a major player was to get some company to do heavy lifting at Salinbas and diversify away from turkey. I for one never expected them to have numerous ventures lined up it's just not realistic in the mining sector. Steady as she goes as renniks post eloquently outlines.

soul, 10537, i guess that was for lotts?

re. 10536, i think you are spot on regarding your expectation, that was mine too. i believe that is what ks intends to do. i doubt he had projects already lined up for investment and perhaps has found that 'good' opportunities have been harder to come by of late, hence the slow investment rate. things may get even slower now given world events.

meantime looking forward to some divi cash on 25th or soon after.

and the venus ipo, the terms of which should clarify a number of outstanding questions.

If £30m is the new minimum for AIM, then surely the proliferation of exploration companies will become a thing of the past. So many of them tend to be microcaps. Maybe this is actually a good thing?
