21/3/2022 09:29 | Straightforward update telling the market things are still on track, I too am not surprised by anything in the rns but we've been asking for update we got one which reclarifies the info we've had previously. Copper mine in a climate why copper is to be sort after more and more is excellent and in another jurisdiction. I like this low risk strategy. Takes longer but eggs are not in one basket which comforts me greatly in these uncertain times | bigglesbingham
21/3/2022 09:10 | I must admit I am very pleased to see this update, arguably it was not absolutely essential. It's great for shareholders to kept updated on progress. | dixi
21/3/2022 08:53 | I'm failing to see the negatives, HCM are supplying the equipment and the resource which is already licensed. Venus will fund the development through an IPO. We will the. have all our resources to sell in or develop with an experienced partner in Cyprus, this will only grow....if given time of course. | lottsgold
21/3/2022 08:48 | Fair comment huffster and well found, although that was 6mths ago and you would think the partners had been doing something. | soulsauce
21/3/2022 08:43 | Back in October 21 RNS, This joint venture agreement with a leading Cypriot mining company for the development of the fully-permitted Apliki Copper Mine, which contains mineral resources of 10.4Mt @ 0.34% Cu, ensures Venus can fast-track the project to the mining stage within 18 months following its proposed stock exchange listing. So I'm not sure they have ever said anything but 18 months. | huffster
21/3/2022 08:37 | HMC is a subsidiary of LACOVOU GROUP who is one of the leading building and civil engineering construction groups in Cyprus with a history of over 60 years in the construction sector. It has successfully completed projects in Cyprus, Greece, UK and the middle east and has gained specialization through innovative construction methods in airport works, bridge and highway construction and other complex civil engineering jobs. At least the parent company backing it. Regarding program for cash generation, like I have said previously, early 23 would be fantastic, reality looking more like mid to late 23. | renniks2016
21/3/2022 08:33 | Just a Q&A Plasybryn. Not a presentation with a small time for Q&A at the end where Kerim picks the easy questions to answer. | soulsauce
21/3/2022 08:30 | Look at Jubilee (JLP) - interesting interview with the CEO yesterday. They have attracted Fidelity and The Slater Fund on board. Kerim is friendly with Mark Slater but for some reason we fail to court any Institutional support. Do they ask themselves why they are poor at this side of the business and if they do, why don't they consider what needs to be done to address it? I'm convinced being an isolated CEO is not appropriate or helpful. | plasybryn
21/3/2022 08:25 | I agree Lottsgold. I also hope they agree to a Q&A and a significant number of shareholders then ask searching questions to elicit more hard information. I want to know about strengthening the Board, bringing in an Investor Relations (Communication) expert, reintroducing a Gantt chart to highlight milestones across all our projects and development strategies.I want to know about the dividend strategy and how the capital is to be deployed. | plasybryn
21/3/2022 08:12 | I think we may hear about Tavsan financing next? This was arranged with Kiziltepe before the final permits were received. I hope Kerim plans on some Q&A again soon, could do with hearing things explained in detail. | lottsgold
21/3/2022 08:07 | Still at the bottom of the RNS re Tavsan it doesn't make it clear we have the EIA.The Tavsan Gold Project is located in western Turkey.......The project is being progressed through permitting related to its Environmental Impact Assessment, with the intention of developing the site to become the second joint venture gold mining operation. A NSR royalty of up to 2% on future production is payable to Sandstorm Gold. | plasybryn
21/3/2022 08:07 | God forbid positivity haha I'm disappointed it won't be up and running this year but realistically they are setting up a new mine no one knew about until Nov 21 so mining by 23 is realistic. This is the mining industry...Kaos-25% though you're right as expected so nothing new there my bad! | lottsgold
21/3/2022 07:58 | as I see it is 25 % to us atm - being diluted after the IPO (if new capital for mine development and new licenses will be raised as hinted) we own 50 % of Venus, which entered into a 50/50 with HMC eg 25 % before further IPO dilution ??? am I wrong? TIA are we ending up with the next bedroom investment heh heh - hope not with all the excitement about it on here PS - we are not told how much of our "fresh cash" from our Turkey JV sale is ending in Cyprus - towards either Venus - or Apliki - eg - will Venus be just a holding Co - with all put into the Apliki - or will be Venus existing as a further stand alone operational entity - I am not able to conclude | kaos3
21/3/2022 07:57 | The update on 8th November said a copper producer in the near term. We must remember now that near term in Kerim speak means 2yrs. I hope we get a better update on Tavsan but I am not holding my breath. | soulsauce
21/3/2022 07:53 | Can't argue they are woefully bad at estimating timeframes for negotiations, the timelines when announced seemed a bit fanciful. Still we spent 3m Eur to get 50% of a European copper mine, and the money was spent on exploration so created value anyway....pretty clever business. | lottsgold
21/3/2022 07:33 | Another 18months to production after the Venus ipo. Am I the only one who was led to believe we would be in production this year at Apliki? 😏 | soulsauce
21/3/2022 07:28 | Lottsgold. Ariana is an impressive company, problem is not many know that. | paul280i
21/3/2022 07:19 | If Ariana get Venus into production in these time scales that will be around 4 years from getting involved in Cyprus. That's pretty impressive. | lottsgold
21/3/2022 07:14 | Happy with the 50:50 if I'm reading it correctly? Is the contractor actually the owner of HCM? | lottsgold
21/3/2022 07:08 | So Q2 for listing and then 18 months to mining. | plasybryn
21/3/2022 07:03 | News on Venus IPO | jaf1948
19/3/2022 20:55 | They need to get on with tavsan this year that will kick the share price upAnd Cyprus also needs to be talked up | tnt99
19/3/2022 16:49 | Plasybryn I think we will have to see all of those things and more to hit those dizzy heights again. Probably a change in general sentiment and a strong gold price too. But we have lost a lot of perceived value that unfortunately has not been replaced and I think that is where things went wrong with the JV. Kerim had more than a year to line a home up for that money and has had nearly another year since while miners have been dirt cheap and out of favour and could/should have bought into a chunk of a decent company. WestTethyan and Asgard aren't going to cut it in the short term. Xow thanks for the divvy write up. Agree with a lot of that kaos. I could add the debacle over the options into the mix. As much as some didn't have a problem with it I think it turned a lot of shareholders off and I hope there will be no repeat of such skullduggery. | soulsauce
19/3/2022 15:51 | I think we are forgetting the effects of compound interest. The projects will be much larger and more significant as we evolve. | lottsgold
19/3/2022 14:54 | Plasy - what drove the price to 6p. I bought for: value, promise not to issue new shares, modest management behavior, expert core business characteristics (low costs, good geology knowledge), promise of a huge divi (paying shareholders back their money means also respect for them), sector in general eg PMs, good geological location in Turkey (history of it and their neighbors ) ... I was buying at the start of the run up to the 6p for the above reasons. What was not said (and they knew or should have known) is: tax reasons for not paying divi in one go, their further strategic plans of buying too many projects for their stage and capacity, not developing one of their own 100 % owned great mine project - to be known for in the investment sphere (like one goes to a certain restaurant for a certain food), I did not know that they will sell out their projects without securing some kind of royalties, too many projects deep down is making my self hard to follow (new investors - hard to understand & follow), that their main figure is not loyal to AAU on an exclusive basis (sleeping around could be a parallel) diluting his energy time and commitment .... all depends on the leadership. we see their strengths and few lackings. but we do not see corrections or improvements coming after they became obvious. and as there is no force to make it happen from the outside (in an easy way) it will not be happening soon. all imho PS - by spreading thin they are limiting their ability to pay the according divi in the future. there will always be a need to finance great future one last time (till the next time) | kaos3 |
