Bigglesbingham is one of, if not the most level headed and polite posters on ADVFN and I certainly respect his opinion, especially when it concerns AAU where he has deep knowledge and also a notifiable holding.

It would be nice if AAU made him a NED with a sub roll of investor communications.

Good to hear from you Biggles. Your presence has been missed I'm sure. Good to have a positive view from one of the main shareholders. As you say, we should be getting a reasonable flow of news now and those Finals with the Annual Report and Accounts should be released next month as well. Hopefully Yellow Jersey and the Board will have got the feedback we aren't happy with the lack of Tavsan & Salinbas progress news.

Not posted as much recently due to work commitments . I just read the comments over last 16 hours prior to hearing the BRR interview. I was expecting a shambles of an interview after reading the comments. That wasn't my take although it would have been nice for update on Tarsvan and salinbas. I found it to be a positive drilling update tbh. We will be getting drilling results re kizeltepe in a fortnight and a month swiftly followed by Cyprus update. They've said we are in court for restructuring this month and will update market re divi / future policy in July so no need to repeat . Shareholders have been asking for some contact and we got it. He made very positive comment re JV and ozaltin which certainly didn't tell me he was in anyway reticent about the JV decision and positive in that their strategies are being followed. Natural shareholders want progress yesterday but I thought it was a reasonable informative update albeit geared to recent drilling.

Pharmout, thanks. I couldn't buy a friend back then but I think there were a few with reservations, mostly well drowned out amongst the hoards of enthusiastic posts.

I said back then the deal, whilst imo sub optimal compared to keeping what we had, it did have some advantages and Ozaltin on paper are a good fit, but so far we have seen nothing from them, and that is a big concern.

Ten: it has to be said you were pretty much a view in the wilderness when you spoke up against the JV. It is too early to say whether you have been proved right but your fears, well expressed at the time, are certainly gaining traction.

Prosecco Charles 😉

I am not sure that is what we signed up for.

Maybe the majority shareholder has asked for no news coverage on their most important projects now that there might possibly be some strategic disadvantage attached. We have to remember that the combined shareholding of AAU and Prosecco no longer has the privileges they once had in combination. We are a minority shareholder now.

I’m just a young pup then Jaf at 60! We both come from a similar perspective though. Time is not on our side and whilst COVID must take some of the blame for a slow down in progress, simply going mute on such big and important parts of the business to shareholders such as Salinbas and tavsan for so long is unhelpful putting it politely. Also, if the dates for the dividend hearings in court have been ‘set’ why do we not know them- or am I being unreasonable? ‘Early June’ was the 1st approximate time given (RNS dated 25th May). Well, 10th June is in 2 days time and then we go into what I consider ‘mid-June̵7;. Will we be informed the 1st hearing has happened or silence until sometime in July?

Glad you all agree. It is so easy to let things slide along, but when I discovered we hadn't had an update on these two key projects since January, and then only one sentence, my blood started to boil. Then we get an interview today and they are again ignored. I followed that up with an email to BRR (copied to Henry at Yellow Jersey) asking if the lack of coverage today on these important projects was due to the Co. blocking discussion, or due to BRR's weak research!

plasybryn, exactly! lots should be happening at tavsan and salinbas! and a lot of it to be done by the jv partners not only aau, so regardless of aau being busy with kizil, cyprus, and new european ventures there should be progress to report on tavsan and salinbas.

Well said Plasbryn. I remember the frequent and detailed updates when Kiziltepe was being brought online. Jaf’s going soft in his old age. 😋😋

Spot on, we need to start pushing for answers many of us have large amounts of our capital in Ariana I think the least we deserve is regular updates even if they feel the up dates are minor.

Spot on once again Plasybryn.

Only thing I can add is that given all there is to do at Tavsan we will be lucky if we manage to kick it off in 22.

Tavsan was supposed to be in production in 2020. In fact originally it might have been 2019 even. Now it is late 2021. But I doubt that is feasible given the lack of apparent progress.
If you are constructing a new mine and finalising costings (CAPEX) - completing a Feasibility Study, getting the Environmental Impact Assessment (E.I.A.) completed,(environmental, community & social impacts) undertaking further resource drilling to extend the Life of Mine, concluding work on Forestry permits, sorting out Strategic Investment status, making any final land acquisitions, and concluding any final implementation permits, there should be masses to report on. Not to mention constructing the mine, and associated infrastructure. Given we haven't been updated since early January on Tavsan or Salinbas, has the implantation strategy changed and if so why haven't shareholders been informed? Not acceptable in my opinion.
I'm sure BRR were told not to go there today - that is don't mention Tavsan, Hot Gold Corridor (Salinbas) Special Pay-out, Court Cases, Dividend strategy, Final Accounts, New Ball Mill at Kiziltepe etc.
As shareholders we must demand more. The up and coming AGM will be our chance.

Lottsgold,

Understand that. I had hoped to hear something about the JV and the dividend but I was reasonable happy with what Kerim did say. Let's hope the next few weeks and months are as exciting as he made out.

No fair question JAF i'm not on the ball as much lately due to work but I was hoping to hear about drilling that was mentioned for Tavsan and the plan to move forward with Ozaltin at Salinbas? I may be expecting too much but we are lacking clarity on how these projects will move forward.

Lottsgold,

I'm not trying to be difficult but what would we expect to hear about Tavsan and Salinbas at the moment ? Both still have a long lead time so I can't think of anything new that Kerim could tell us now. Or am I missing something (which is quite possible) ?

Would have been nice to have at least heard the names of Tavsan and Salinbas muttered, plans being made in the background no doubt but would like to have some insight soon.

Kerim did state that July would be an announcement regarding 'future dividend policy'!He may just say thirty percent of free cash or whatever - it's a massive step forward!I'm young enough and patient enough to wait for Tavshan, Salinbas and even Cyprus to all start digging big holes!

Hi Shortarm. That's roughly the numbers I get as well and at that point a dividend makes sense. To get to those numbers we need production from Tavsan. Hence I don't expect to hear anything about future dividend until Tavsan is producing. When Tavsan will start is still to be confirmed but would imagine it won't be until late 2022/3

Looking at the trades, I am beginning to wonder if the price is'nt being walked down to let big buyers in.
