07/3/2021 07:53 | all true - but the reality of the moment consist of the at the time prevailing social contract - and we do not know which way it will go. there are many possible scenarios to consider and be prepared for. not just - it will collapse and gold will win - soon PS best hedging imho is gardening heh heh PPS and the history confirms this sophisticated hedging plan PPPS even Bill bought his garden - a big one | kaos3
07/3/2021 07:44 | Sunday morning chat. Any thoughts on how long the 1.9Trillion will last in the US with 10m unemployed ? It is likely that in less than 3 years, public debt owned will be more the 100% of US GDP, now that takes some thinking about! No way out, will inflation be their only option? which will be a disaster for most. Talk of gold going to $10,000 - $20,000 oz does not seem so ludicrous in this scenario. | renniks2016
06/3/2021 16:29 | skara, nice scenario you paint and i think the future aspects could well come to pass. the history is a bit different though. the jv deal was in the making in 2018/2019 and announced in 2019. the gp was in the region of 1400 - 1500 so not quite the peak at over 2000, and we have been told by ks that the deal terms were not changed because that is not the way he does business. but agreed ks has played a blinder, for the other reasons you state. and also wise enough to know that aau needed more muscle, politically for heavy permitting period upcoming and operationally for size/challenges of salinbas, so ozaltin a big local player a good fit. | konil
06/3/2021 12:35 | renniks, completely on board with your views as regards aau's future. thing is i want to share in it but there is a slowish step now until the company delivers next stage(s) of development. the share price could be hit due to impatience but a rising pm bull would stop/reverse that. i am on borderline between being able to hang on and having to divest to stem further losses, nothing to do with aau's prospects just my personal situation. i'd rather be here for the ride. that is why at the moment pog is pretty much my main hope unless something good which helps the share price appears from aau in short order. completion of the tranformative jv and the promise of a huge divi is surprisingly doing little to stem the drip drip drip in the share price rather than being at say 6p (a modest figure given aau's assets/prospects) we are at 4.2p and i am painfully in the red. just a personal issue, not relevant to other holders. positive punter in discomfort from london! | konil
06/3/2021 11:43 | Konil, I think we have a great group of guys in place here, along with a good working relationship with partners, both in Turkey, Cyprus and else where, for a gold/silver producing explorer, which has some of the lowest costs per oz in this sector, I believe that whilst the POG is important, it is not the be-all for this company, I'm invested because I believe that this team will go on to prove them selves time and time again, they have learnt so much about what they have, and also so much about the specific geology that has given them this, and that is what will take the share price to where I think it should be(double digits) Sentiment is obviously important for gathering momentum, but even if the POG drops back to $1400, (and it could do)we still make money, and it will rebound, yes market manipulation is rampant, but it works both ways, and sometimes you have to try and second guess what the crooks are doing, and try the opposite. We will either see the biggest shake up in financial history, with debt and the dollar disappearing, or we just carry on having to deal with the rouges that are MM's (market manipulators)but what else can we do with our hard earn money? Positive punter from Pewsey! | renniks2016
06/3/2021 11:03 | Dow finished 600pts up..time we had a good week starting monday | johncasey
06/3/2021 10:40 | renniks, i like your confidence in the direction of travel. my own, as regards the pm bull, has been dented a little. yes, of course nothing goes in a straight line, so pullbacks are a part of any trend, be it up or down. but the size of this pullback in gold has surprised me and makes me think that those in high places who need to, and do, manipulate pm markets have more power than i realise, if they can do this despite the economic carnage wreaked by the pandemic, and the unprecedented level of qe which in theory makes money worth a lot less and hard assets (pm) worth a lot more - but for now at least they have turned the tide to their will. i hope as i write this that your words are prescient and the pullback is now done and we see the next leg of the pm bull. this will support the aau sp, regardless of seller(s), and make time for aau to deliver on next steps in its corporate development without more painful down moves in the share price | konil
05/3/2021 16:29 | Anything for the weekend sir? yes please 200k AAU that will do nicely. what a steal. | renniks2016
05/3/2021 14:17 | I think another has gone in but not showing yet judging by the price of that last buy. | thanksamillion
05/3/2021 14:04 | Yep....They more or less wiped out all that good buying today so far......as if they counting it all up, and placing sell accordingly......fru | spacegazer
05/3/2021 13:10 | And there it is. Anyone still think there isn't a high volume seller in the background? | 5huu
05/3/2021 11:11 | I bought another 300k at 10:31am, but still not shown up yet. | 5huu
05/3/2021 11:10 | Bought back in this a.m, chunks here and there - 500k Usually when I buy the share price drops, sods law, but hasn't happened yet...very cheap at these levels but this is AAU where anything can happen... | 1candc
05/3/2021 10:35 | Yes I'm adding. Although my buy has not shown up yet. | 5huu
05/3/2021 09:48 | looks cheap | johncasey
05/3/2021 09:36 | Actually folk, I like the look of the chart, unbelievable as it may appear. Reminds me of March last year when the sell-off was overdone, solid support level at 4p and an intra-day spike down a few days ago. Looking forward, we have the divi, the usual scattering of drilling results and updates from Cyprus. Then there is news of the next area of exploration/JV in Europe plus more clarity on the way forward with Ozaltin though I am not expecting this operation to progress at great pace, just steady away. Like last year, we are whincing during a difficult time for the sp, but the company is sound, cash rich, the outlook will clarify,.... and views will change! | thanksamillion
05/3/2021 08:10 | That would imply that the share price has never risen which I don't believe is the case. There is not a direct relationship but I have yet to see a miner that hasn't risen during a bull market for the commodity it produces. | jc2706
05/3/2021 01:00 | When gold goes up the share price goes down. When gold goes down the share price goes down. No connection between the two. | charles clore

05/3/2021 00:43 | Cannot comprehend that gold is now sub $1,700 per Oz in the world global economic conditions since WW2; Especially given the premium that you have to pay for physical from the various mints throughout the world. One word springs to mind...it starts with 'man' and ends with 'ipulation'. | bonehanmer
04/3/2021 20:25 | If it does get to 4p I'll be loading up, that's a huge value disconnect | steviec1
04/3/2021 17:40 | So back to 4p where it will remain for how many months or years ? | corrientes
04/3/2021 16:59 | Chill folk, I'm content to pay 4.? for a share that I think is worth perhaps 7p at the mo and much much more in a few years. Others it seems are willing to part with them at the current level, but one day they all will have moved on and only clever tight holders like what I is will be left. Lets see what the price is then ;-) | thanksamillion |
