If precious metals do a moonshot soon which I think they might we could get to 10x market cap much sooner than than 10 years. That is the x-factor here imho.

If there was a fund raising share issue within a few years of the current cash-rich times I would be straight out of here.

CSSF excellent post bang on.
Hopefully, as biggles alludes to, the rise to 500m will come with less dilution.
I am hoping Kerim has got his sums right and there will be no further dilution after giving so much away with the special divvy.
We have enough things in place now to fund with debt.

Biggles,Thanks for that. Remember that I am considerably older than you so my time scales have to be reduced but I take your points.

JAF that's a dangerous strategy. By doing what your doing your reducing the timeline of investment to 12 months and that is too short for higher risk investments imho. With AAU this has created an issue to you which you have eloquently aired. However when the stock gets back I wouldn't necessarily sell as I believe it will value out. The reason for the fall is a major seller/sellers in background and this negative effect on share price shakes out a few more but medium term you should be well ahead. Didn't like timing if KS sale first time but no issues now. If you did go your posts would be missed.

I did raise this point that I believe the lack of required dilution should mean the 50 to 500 is a much more meaningful statement than 5 to 50. Liked the article and the media last week or so. That is YJ listening but Panmure Gordon useless.

Market cap increasing tenfold in ten years means very little in terms of the share price. The market cap went from approx £5m to £50 in roughly the same time frame. During that period the share price went from 10p+ to 1p. So the market cap ten-bagged and the share price ‘minus’ ten-bagged.

I have little interest in market cap growth unless the share price rises at the same rate.

konil,

You asked a fair question so I thought it deserved an answer. I just hope I will have no reason to whine or upset the more sensitive souls on here in the near future

jaf, thanks for explaining although of course you need not have. with regard to the need to see this produce results for the investor we are in the same boat! let's hope fundamental value is soon recognised by the market.

No I'm on board with that idea. Sounded to me as they have projects just finalising JV structures .

Interesting that they are going into the new projects with JV structure at the ready, that sounds to me like quick turnaround projects? Maybe defined resources with lots of chance to grow the resources? This is now full steam ahead as a plan. Find a good project, prove its economical, JV it, move on. Loads of income streams none of the day to day running. Brilliant strategy. Royalty co with large percentages of projects and seats on the boards?Am I reading too much into that when you combine it with everything we already know?

konil,

Apologies if O/T to everyone else but I just want to answer konil's very valid question.

As a retired person, I only have my pension (which will hardly change) and my savings. Due to low interest rates, the bulk of my savings are in the stock market.

I work on a quarterly basis - if I am up at the end of a quarter, I can take some money out and use it for holidays (hah !) or something like that. It also lets me balance my portfolio so if, as in 2020, something like Ariana is doing well, I can afford to sell some losing stocks.

For 1Q 2021, Ariana has so far produced a 5 figure loss. It is technically correct that I have done well out of it over the years but that is in the past. I literally cannot afford to hold something which is neither producing a capital gain nor a dividend. I have to admit that I have already spent the special dividend - yes, not a clever thing to do but I was so sure it would happen in 2020.

Hope that helps to explain why I am such a whiner at the moment.

jaf, i invested last year and am sitting on a capital loss.

in the last 7 years for almost the entire period up until mid 2019 the share price was sub 2p and for about half that period close to or sub 1p. you have been in for 7 years so surely you must be sitting on multibag profits?

none of my business of course, just difficult to understand what you say.

as regards ks, despite sitting at a loss on my investment i cannot see that he has done anything other than progress the development of the company. hopefully with jv completed and no longer sucking up so much time they can put some time into the pr issue. mind you, i would like to hear about receipt of the cash from ozaltin soon!

Of course KS is not responsible for my actions. I am blaming Kerim for not ensuring that a vital part of the company's business - Public Relations - is in place and that as CEO it is his responsibility.

I suspect the share price performance post JV has been a disappointment to all investors here. There was a fair amount of speculation as to where the share price would be at this juncture, and it wasn't where we are today. I think it's understandable that investors are left feeling a bit irrelevant in the scheme of things. This is as good a place as any to make your feelings known. It's a good bellwether for judging sentiment too. AAU is still definitely an interesting investment.

Damn, not quick enough. So, you're blaming Kerim for your actions?P.S. hernias - a weak stomach :-P

shortarm,

Thanks mainly to KS's actions and inactions, I have not earned a single penny this year from Ariana and am in fact over 5 figures down for 2021. I have only 'regurgitated' my complaint after KS 'regurgitated' his options. Since I rely on the stock market for income, I also have to trust the directors of whatever company I have invested in to work in my best interests.

I cannot say that Ariana's board have done this recently so feel quite justified in my whining. As soon as I can show some profit, I will finally be out of here after 7 years and you can relax again.

And, BTW, regurgitation does not cause hernias.

The same thing over and over starts to grate........ I'm guessing that to JAF Kerim earns plenty......I'll filter Mr Meldrew then ;-)

Shortarm with due respect I disagree that it is whining. Frustrated yes but nearly always factual. You are also suggesting JAF's problem is easily solved by selling, I'd suggest rather than criticism yours is even easier to solve with the mute button if that's how you feel. We all have opinions and should be happy reading others.

Dude, you're gonna give yourself a hernia with all this regurgitation! Kerim earns very little and the options were 20% above the price at the time they were issued!!??? If it really breaks your heart that much sell and move on (I for one will be much happier without the constant whining).
