23/2/2021 16:47 | lotts - that is the idea yes imho | kaos3
23/2/2021 16:46 | I think it's being missed who profitable that will be. Also it could create value very quickly...depending on your view of quick | lottsgold
23/2/2021 16:39 | No I'm on board with that idea. Sounded to me as they have projects just finalising JV structures . | bigglesbingham
23/2/2021 16:37 | Interesting that they are going into the new projects with JV structure at the ready, that sounds to me like quick turnaround projects? Maybe defined resources with lots of chance to grow the resources? This is now full steam ahead as a plan. Find a good project, prove its economical, JV it, move on. Loads of income streams none of the day to day running. Brilliant strategy. Royalty co with large percentages of projects and seats on the boards?Am I reading too much into that when you combine it with everything we already know? | lottsgold
23/2/2021 16:29 | konil, Apologies if O/T to everyone else but I just want to answer konil's very valid question. As a retired person, I only have my pension (which will hardly change) and my savings. Due to low interest rates, the bulk of my savings are in the stock market. I work on a quarterly basis - if I am up at the end of a quarter, I can take some money out and use it for holidays (hah !) or something like that. It also lets me balance my portfolio so if, as in 2020, something like Ariana is doing well, I can afford to sell some losing stocks. For 1Q 2021, Ariana has so far produced a 5 figure loss. It is technically correct that I have done well out of it over the years but that is in the past. I literally cannot afford to hold something which is neither producing a capital gain nor a dividend. I have to admit that I have already spent the special dividend - yes, not a clever thing to do but I was so sure it would happen in 2020. Hope that helps to explain why I am such a whiner at the moment. | jaf1948
23/2/2021 16:18 | jaf, i invested last year and am sitting on a capital loss. in the last 7 years for almost the entire period up until mid 2019 the share price was sub 2p and for about half that period close to or sub 1p. you have been in for 7 years so surely you must be sitting on multibag profits? none of my business of course, just difficult to understand what you say. as regards ks, despite sitting at a loss on my investment i cannot see that he has done anything other than progress the development of the company. hopefully with jv completed and no longer sucking up so much time they can put some time into the pr issue. mind you, i would like to hear about receipt of the cash from ozaltin soon! | konil
23/2/2021 14:55 | Now you've ruined my day! I was thinking June lol | shortarm
23/2/2021 14:38 | Just have to face up to it guys, it will be July before we hit 12.5p. ;-) | thanksamillion
23/2/2021 14:11 | Of course KS is not responsible for my actions. I am blaming Kerim for not ensuring that a vital part of the company's business - Public Relations - is in place and that as CEO it is his responsibility. | jaf1948
23/2/2021 14:09 | I suspect the share price performance post JV has been a disappointment to all investors here. There was a fair amount of speculation as to where the share price would be at this juncture, and it wasn't where we are today. I think it's understandable that investors are left feeling a bit irrelevant in the scheme of things. This is as good a place as any to make your feelings known. It's a good bellwether for judging sentiment too. AAU is still definitely an interesting investment. | dixi
23/2/2021 14:08 | Damn, not quick enough.So, you're blaming Kerim for your actions?P.S. hernias - a weak stomach :-P | shortarm
23/2/2021 14:04 | shortarm, Thanks mainly to KS's actions and inactions, I have not earned a single penny this year from Ariana and am in fact over 5 figures down for 2021. I have only 'regurgitated' my complaint after KS 'regurgitated' his options. Since I rely on the stock market for income, I also have to trust the directors of whatever company I have invested in to work in my best interests. I cannot say that Ariana's board have done this recently so feel quite justified in my whining. As soon as I can show some profit, I will finally be out of here after 7 years and you can relax again. And, BTW, regurgitation does not cause hernias. | jaf1948
23/2/2021 14:04 | The same thing over and over starts to grate........ I'm guessing that to JAF Kerim earns plenty......I'll filter Mr Meldrew then ;-) | shortarm
23/2/2021 14:02 | Shortarm with due respect I disagree that it is whining. Frustrated yes but nearly always factual. You are also suggesting JAF's problem is easily solved by selling, I'd suggest rather than criticism yours is even easier to solve with the mute button if that's how you feel. We all have opinions and should be happy reading others. | kirbs4
23/2/2021 13:58 | Dude, you're gonna give yourself a hernia with all this regurgitation! Kerim earns very little and the options were 20% above the price at the time they were issued!!??? If it really breaks your heart that much sell and move on (I for one will be much happier without the constant whining). | shortarm
23/2/2021 13:56 | The big seller is still around and ii cant say I blame him. The company needs to appoint a PR champion who can stand up and effectively promote the company and its excellent assets. If done wrong it will always have a negative effect as we can see only too clearly! | charles clore
23/2/2021 13:45 | It is as much the company's job to ensure good PR as it is to be drilling and mining.Still, I suppose it's easier to forget about the share price when you can pocket £150,000 twice in 3 months. | jaf1948
23/2/2021 12:51 | Andrew asked him about Salinbas and Tavsan. He got going on Tavsan and then forgot to tell us about what is planned at Salinbas. And as you say nothing on the special payout, but we'll hear more about on Friday given the General Meeting to approve the Capital Reorganisation. | plasybryn
23/2/2021 12:43 | No you don't konil simply because the PR is appalling. Who has a clue other than existing holders and long termers what Ariana is about? The market is crowded and many others are a lot more savvy at getting the word across. Why is our broker not shouting from the roof tops? Why have we got YJ who dare not say anything for fear of ramping. Who is going to pop in here when people are making good money elsewhere at companies that aren't shy to tell the story. Look at the leg work Paul Johnson puts in for a start. | soulsauce
23/2/2021 12:33 | soul, yes, i posted as much yesterday, i.e. my disappointment at holders' reactions to exercise of options. i guess its not so much buyers jumping in immediately as seemingly no interest in aau, for example we don't get peeps popping up on the bb asking about things... what! £25m cash! where did that come from? how come mkt cap only £50m!! seriously?! a 15% divi in 3 months?? am i too late for this? ....etc.etc. of course bb activity is not really a yardstick for overall interest in a stock. there just seems to be a lethargy in the market for aau which seems strange given the progress it is making. imo this will correct in time but meanwhile the share price disconnect with fundamentals continues. one day rodders... pg and yj - i hope aau are getting ready to fire them. | konil
23/2/2021 12:19 | konil did you not see yesterday's news. Some long term holders have kicked a chunk of this in to the long grass over recent months for the many reasons given so what makes you think buyers are going to jump in. That said the words 'Ariana are ready, set, go' does have a ring of Ariana with attitude about it. | soulsauce
23/2/2021 12:17 | Also didn’t mention the impending divi. | uknighted
23/2/2021 11:52 | pity ks's upbeat interviews do not seem to translate even a little bit into the share price also, he almost never mentions the silver at kizil. i know its not the main prize at the moment but in the pm space many are focused on silver as *the main game* insofar as expectations of silver price appreciation outstripping gold. should that happen the economics at kizil could change significantly given that aau produce about 10x as much ag as au. couldn't harm to give it a mention so it seeps into investor consciousness. just a minor point, overall he's doing a grand job. | konil
23/2/2021 10:28 | The link works, you just gotta hold it a second and then press open on new tab. | shortarm
23/2/2021 10:16 | Great to hear Tavsan E.I.A. will be concluded this quarter. I was particularly pleased to hear him finally describe Tavsan as "a near term development asset". Hopefully we will see 30,000 oz p.a. production from 2022. The Resource drill programme at Kiziltepe (Arzu North etc.) will of course importantly increase the Life of Mine, which is much needed to provide Investor comfort. He seems excited about building in a gold element to the Cyprus JORC Resource which as he says will add significant value. As soon as next month resource confirmation work will be underway Increased Mill production at Kiziltepe sounds to be well on target. H2? And finally "Eyes on a number of very good projects" - Doesn't sound like news on this front is far away either. | plasybryn |
