27/11/2020 09:45 | Must admit, this is similar to the status of AAU in my head. I was more or less all in at one point but earlier this year but the way they were handling the delays made the crown slip. I moved some around and have done well with my other companies, EUA, PALM, CHF to name some of the main ones, I just wish I'd moved more out of AAU in the 6's but that is the name of the game. A year ago they were solid, almost infallible in my head, and I had no reason to sell anything, now they are just one of a number of AIM opportunities. | kirbs4
27/11/2020 09:35 | I am confident the news is coming 1candc but I could have said the same 3 JV updates ago. The question is when. Next week we drop in to December and the chances of getting it over the line before year end start to diminish, quickly, especially if it is as bigglesbingham says and it is lawyers dragging their feet. Although I will have to politely disagree on that one | soulsauce
27/11/2020 09:24 | A year ago the share price was circa 2p, now 5p so not too much to criticise there for those who bought in at those levels and are still holding despite the recent stall. We will get the awaited news, there doesn't seem to be any straws in the wind that the JV is in trouble. Someone posted that Beril, KS's sister hinted that all was well recently so I am as confident as I can be that the news is coming. | 1candc
27/11/2020 09:24 | The delay has been cathartic for me. Since 2014 when I first bought in, my admiration for the company had become almost an obsession - Kerim could do no wrong and probably could walk on water. I still believe that Ariana is a great investment but the delay has brought me down to Earth in the realization that it is actually just another AIM company, albeit a profitable one. | jaf1948
27/11/2020 09:24 | Not waiting on government imho. The agreement and circular to shareholder can be analysed and ratified subject to government Tick boxes being ticked. I believe we are waiting on paperwork which unfortunately involves lawyers and translators who's interests are polar opposite to Ariana. Ie more time taken more money for them. They could have charged fixed fee with time penalties but the way this has dragged on I assume they didn't. Bit longer it takes the more coffers to Ariana for doing effectively nothing as kiziltepe doesn't involve much work on their part. | bigglesbingham
27/11/2020 09:16 | There might be something on Monday which is the 30th Kirbs but I am not expecting it, not regarding the JV anyway. I have felt that way since Lottsgold posted what Beril said and how long it had taken to get the Proccea JV away. They may be ought to have led with that in the RNS last November. I think the words of Beril gave more away than the recent RNS. They maybe ought to have updated us after the meeting of the triumvirate late last month and gave us a run down of the final steps required to conclude the JV. I suspect we are just waiting on the government and we all know that is how long is a piece of string territory. For my own sanity I have given up expecting it to conclude this year. | soulsauce
27/11/2020 08:59 | Kirby's - you know this company well. Promises of news nearly always missed and when it comes, sold into with a vengeance. I sometimes wonder why I persist in holding the flag for this bunch. Must be karma for something I did in a past life. | charles clore
27/11/2020 08:31 | I certainly wouldn't go as far as anger, but this is head shakingly frustrating! No rns today so it will be another full month since the last update. It felt like they were taking the mick a bit leaving that until midday on the last day, so to subsequently see they were at least a month away from anything being ready reiterates the fact that there was no need to keep shareholders in the dark until the absolute last moment. Wonder if its happening now with anything? | kirbs4
27/11/2020 07:48 | Exactly dixi. I can understand why people were hanging some hope on it though as it is kind of where we are with hoping the JV is close to completion when in reality it might not be as close as we would like. | soulsauce
27/11/2020 07:34 | It makes little sense anyway. What difference could a 'secret' nod make? Market makers compete for business amongst the 100's of listed companies, I see no way they have anything to gain from coded messages via single share trades. If they wanted to communicate it's very easy to pick up the phone etc. | dixi
27/11/2020 07:23 | And of course no Rns. The one share trade myth laid bare once again. | soulsauce
26/11/2020 21:21 | It’s over due IMO Rumour has it that the one trade signals that an RNS is due but we will see in the morning | cool hand kev
26/11/2020 20:17 | I'll settle for a good rns anyway pal | bigglesbingham
26/11/2020 19:39 | I have seen the one share trade in many stocks and there has been no news the following day. Old wives tale and I am not sure we like Friday Rns anyway. | soulsauce
26/11/2020 19:29 | Like it Plas what you reckon shareprice will be at end Jan assuming most of those points listed would have resulted in positive rnss. | bigglesbingham
26/11/2020 19:07 | Come on Plasbyn, is that all you can offer? Surely you can give a better summary than that on why our current share price is so undervalued?! | pharmoutcomeszzz
26/11/2020 18:58 | I would say the chart is looking fairly positive having recently experienced a bit of short term weakness. The 20 day M.A. needs to cross the 50 day M.A. to confirm the upward trend in my opinion. Everything else looks reasonably lined up for more upward movement. Obviously news on any number of fronts will reinforce that. Salinbas E.I.A. scoping study, Kiziltepe strategic review - Open pit, Underground, Second Ball Mill etc., Tavsan (costing work feeding into Feasibility Study & associated work on environmental & social impacts including E.I.A. Land acquisitions, forestry permits, strategic investment status confirmed, etc.) Cyprus drilling programme & licence news. And finally the long awaited Agreement communication and news of the special dividend. Surely they can find something in that lot to push the share price forward before year end. | plasybryn
26/11/2020 18:50 | It will have an effect soon in my opinion | bigglesbingham
26/11/2020 18:03 | ADVFN, LSE and Barclays all showing closing share price of 5.5p and yet bid is 5.2p and offer 5.5p which suggests 5.35 as share price Happening more frequently recently. Just hoped the outstanding CHF news would have a small ‘bounce’ effect on us with our link via Venus Minerals. Then again, how silly- nothing will bounce this share price until JV announcement! | pharmoutcomeszzz
26/11/2020 17:43 | Definitely but ain't a clue what it's for | bigglesbingham
26/11/2020 17:27 | Ended with a trade of 1 share. Is that a signal? | plasybryn
26/11/2020 09:30 | Lest we forget - From RNS 2/12/19 Peter van der Borgh, Managing Director of Venus Minerals Ltd, commented: "Venus Minerals is focused on the exploration and development of copper and gold on the island of Cyprus and, with Ariana's input, we will be able to scale-up our activities significantly. Cyprus represents an environment in which exciting exploration opportunities were effectively frozen-in-time since the early 1970s. This creates a significant opportunity; one which our combined Cypriot and international team is fully capable of unlocking. To our unique advantage, Venus holds a proprietary exploration database containing records of nearly all prior exploration across the island. We have already put this to good effect in securing a range of stand-out projects in the most prospective regions of the island." | 1candc
26/11/2020 08:49 | Especially as we are the only once to have come out with a resource in last decade | bigglesbingham
26/11/2020 08:43 | Maybe some savvy investors out there will join the dots on the CHF news and realise the potential with our Venus minerals stake, I am looking forward to the drill results with great interest | 1candc |
