Equally frustrated but let's put this into perspective. I doubled my holding in Ariana after the MoU announcement and bought in at around 2.5p. Frustrated though I am at the slowness of the JV signing, I have nevertheless made around 100% on my investment in the last 11 months.

Looking at it that way, it's not quite so bad.

Just as frustrated as everyone else.

cc, imo this is getting into a higher risk category. the delay could be anywhere, ozaltin second thoughts, aau revisions, govt delays, even proccea issues...who knows...but the longer it goes on the more risky it gets regardless how positive the commentary from aau. after all if aau are so very positive on this deal (i assume they are) then despite all their efforts it isn't quite getting over the line - covid / bureaucracy / ozaltin / yada yada - whatever the reason(s) who is to say those reasons won't sink the whole thing.

we have had no feedback from the all party discussions on 30 oct, rns stated
"The Parties are undertaking an all-parties meeting today to finalise the terms of the definitive joint venture agreements governing the Transaction."

ok, it did not say that would be reported back, but really, finalising terms at this stage? i can understand external (govt) delays but all parties finalising terms at this stage does not sound good, especially in light of ks's earlier comments regarding the deal terms not changing in light of events in the intervening period eg. increase in gp etc.

i don't like it one bit, so venting my frustration/disappointment.

I’m sure KS is as frustrated as us shareholders at the snail’s pace progress this JV has taken, particularly as he’s used to leading at pace from the front.
I’m sure he hasn’t been sitting on his hands and I’ve a sneaky suspicion that when the JV is announced it will be quickly followed with a ‘deluge’ of exciting information about the way ahead and how the money is to be spent.
Let’s just hope that it has been Turkish bureaucracy that has held back progress and that when left to get on with things, the 3 amigos will work quickly and incisively in realizing the assets of our various interests, particularly Salinbas.

As I understand it, Government approval for Salinbas is the sole hinderance, wont be long though.

CC,

In 14 days time, it will be exactly one year since the news of the MoU. I suggest a bottle of good champagne on that date to either celebrate or drown our sorrows.

At the current rate of decline in share price I might be able to afford another million using the special dividend money!. Ffs can someone explain why is this taking so flipping long?

JAF1948 - agree, absolutely pathetic but par for the course in AAU, over the years you become accustomed to being a masochist as you grit your teeth waiting for the golden future

Mid is difference between bid offer shown on ADVFN. However mms sometimes forget and just quote last trade. That's why yesterday I posted the mid was 5.1 and not 4.9 . Hence it always opens at mid. Tomorrow it will open at 5.25. Always happens. Always look at bid offer on ADVFN and closing price half way between . Cheers

The closing auction trade was at 5.18.

The MMs were quoting 5.2p bid

I suspect 5.25 given the spread is 5.2 - 5.3. Commonplace here that they forget to set the share price at mid at close and it sets at the last trade price.

Can somebody clarify closing SP? LSE saying 5.25p, ADVFN saying 5.18p. Thank you.

The cash from JV is no way priced in at the moment think that's the point. Once dividend paid it pulls a new set of investors plus and this is a big plus: there may be many investors who use the dividend to increase their holding so if there is a dip ( I don't think there will be a significant dip) then it would be very short lived.
