I had thought about a wee top slice on the run up to JV announcement to reduce risk but decided against it

There is always the chance the JV doesn't go through or is delayed further. I don't think this will be the case simply because of the confidence I have in the AAU board but sometimes things are outside of your control.

It's either fools selling or they know something we don't!

Bit disappointing with profit taking today but the price is still well in the upward trend and poised ready to go higher with rising precious metals and an imminent deal that will transform the company. The chart is a classic with obvious uptrend. Ozaltin must be extremely pleased with the current situation.

Perhaps they're traders who don't have the funds to buy their positions?
But they'll be back again :-)

Some must be happy taking a little profit. No harm in that I suppose. Bit short sighted with news due any day. It's a no brainer to get involved here at this price if not already invested.

Might be a few people who sold today regretting that decision by the end of the week.

Barrick up 10.5% on opening, can see institutions and hedge funds stiffing around for solid, cash positive, low cost PM producers with huge growth potential, anyone any ideas ? ;)

If the announcement of the deal was tomorrow and was as positive as most seem to expect, what would be your (educated) guesses as to the share price at cob?I'd go 6.7p followed by a steady rise to 7.5 by mid Sept.

Three or four 200k share sales at between 5.50p and 5.55p but gold rising and demand for AAU shares soaking up the sales

And what's the significance of how many trading days left in August?

Soul, dont like to be picky, but it might be 10 trading days because of the bank holiday?

Yes, it’s pointing at 6.5p if the pattern’s a reliable flag on pole formation. The Buffet effect will definitely have an effect on the PMs, particularly in our world of celebrities (even 90 year olds) and their blind followers of fashion.

He’ll also have an effect on the Paulsons and Soros’s of the financial guru world. Greenspan may eventually come clean. He doesn’t want to pass on without the chance to clear his name (is he still alive?)...
