11/5/2020 23:45 | Think you will find they are a number of stable investors making up significantly more than the 10% you refer to. Many post on here | bigglesbingham
11/5/2020 22:15 | Well kaos3 I sincerely hope it all does come good. I've been involved with Ariana on and off now for over a decade. Yet in this game there is no reward for loyalty, just good judgement. | dixi
11/5/2020 21:17 | shares in "stable hands" - 8 % management and 2 % eldorado gold = 10 %. the rest all kinds of ISAs and Nominees - at some point I hope to get more "professional" investors. divi will help. capitalization growth will help. until then (anchor investors on the list) it could be very volatile. which I like as it gives opportunities for smart investors. the more I think - the more my trust will depend on the small print in the JV document. red flags, minority protections, fees, cash flow timings and triggers, veto rights, ev. exit clauses etc etc. I expect to be given enough time to study and I expect to be given an opportunity to vote about the JV so far so good. | kaos3
11/5/2020 20:58 | Ariana boosts resource estimate at Kizilcukur project in Turkey Ariana has built a track record of successful gold production in Turkey Ariana Resources PLC (LON:AAU) has boosted the resource estimate at its Kizilcukur project in Turkey. The new resource stands at 21,100 ounces of gold and 620,000 ounces of silver, with contained metal on three main veins, the group said, with 85% of the tonnage in the measured and indicated categories. Higher grade ore has been found on the Zeki Main Vein, and trial mining has commenced, it added. "This is a significant improvement over the previous resource estimate, which integrates the latest drilling data and geological modelling,” Ariana’s managing director Dr Kerim Sener said in a statement. “Most of the resource now sits within the lower-risk measured and indicated categories, in comparison to the previous estimate which contained only indicated and inferred Resources. This is largely the result of the in-fill diamond drilling that was completed on the higher-grade Zeki Vein in early 2019," Sener added. Kizilcukur is 100% owned by Ariana through its subsidiary Galata Madencilik San. ve Tic. Ltd. PI | risa5

11/5/2020 18:09 | so, lots of interesting discourse here! post 21374 by kaos strikes a chord with me because the picture he paints works well in my game plan. i decided the scene was set for us by the fed and central banks generally for massive depreciation of currency with limitless qe. the obvious beneficiaries being au/ag. i can't see it being a smooth ride but there is the possibility of a gigantic move north in these perceived safe havens. having decided to seek gearing, but not through derivatives, i avoided physical and etfs and started looking for sound (i.e some production and manageable debt or preferably debt free) mining stocks in the space. i also wanted a mix of big and small. if the physical performs as expected it really doesn't matter how well the ops are progressed, the rising tide will lift all. this could take from the next few weeks to perhaps 2 or 3 years, only thing to do is wait - and of course need the stocks to stay afloat meantime. step forward aau - seems to fit the bill very nicely. with aau there is the added kicker that they will be developing the assets, so if the physical does take 2/3 years to do its thing, aau will be even better placed to benefit from it. and with its microcap status, it may be last in line when the herds arrive and pick off the big names but when aau's turn comes as peeps start looking further down the food chain for value...well we can all imagine. just a view from a newbie here but with skin in the game. gla. | konil
11/5/2020 18:01 | Very subtle change of tack here regarding his own holding not influencing new investors or those with small holdings. Credit where credit due I do believe he's listening!!! | bigglesbingham
11/5/2020 17:07 | AIM-listed gold-miner in Turkey, Ariana Resources (AAU) has offered up yet more good news this morning – this time with reference to its 100%-owned Kizilcukor project near its joint venture owned Kiziltepe production facility, in the form of a resource upgrade. The previous JORC compliant estimate was for Indicated and Inferred resources but the new resource estimate is now largely in the higher-quality Measured and Indicated bracket, with a total estimated resource of 21,156 oz gold and a useful 616,578 oz of silver thrown in. Of course, 21,000 ounces of gold not of an order of magnitude to justify a processing plant, but with Kiziltepe 70km up the road the company is considering developing the site as a satellite deposit for Kiziltepe and the options appear to be selling the site to the JV at three ties exploration cost or paying the JV to process the ore. Either way, it should offer a tasty bonus to Ariana. Ariana shares jumped on the news this morning before settling back to 3.4p in the middle so I once again missed my own top-slice target to offload a few from my over-large holding. But with much more news still to come – not least of which is whether the proposed corporate action which would see $30 million in cash arrive in return for Ariana dropping its 51% ownership Kiziltepe down to 23.5% and Salinbas down to 23.5% plus a free carry on the next stage of exploration. And with Tavsan being pushed towards production and Salinbas in time to come, there is a great deal to look forward to here. But being boring, I am still happy to take a little bit off the table at 3.5p (if I am paying attention!) ahead of news, but with eyes on a rather larger prize in due course. Indeed, anyone not exposed here might do well to pick a few up at current prices and if the shares drop back towards 3p I will find it hard to resist buying a few more. | 1candc
11/5/2020 16:55 | kaos - good post. Are you the same kaos as on the silver thread? | charles clore
11/5/2020 16:50 | I guess AAU development is superb. It is just a nature of the beast. Huge investments needed. It takes long time to seek, find, develope, build, repay. And lots of risks in the meantime. Waiting for the free cash flow to come - and it comes at the end (to whom is another question) - if all goes to plan. Or if the Co stops growing. So far so good and I stay invested. And I feel lucky to get some of the cash back at this early stage as a special divi. Low capital upfront, huge gains - software, media ..... Mining - huge risks, long lead time, huge capital upfront. I am aware of it. | kaos3
11/5/2020 16:36 | C'mon Ariana - on a day I'm up nearly 10% on POG, and that's a massive company compared. Ariana should be way ahead today I feel. Makes no sense... again :-( | dixi

11/5/2020 14:27 | Considering good ol Nige's contradictory comments I am surprised more haven't sold as it would appear a good trade and buyback opportunity. If they did it would allow me (us?) to buy more at these completely ridiculous prices. Maybe that was his intention, I don't know... | charles clore
11/5/2020 14:25 | Agree dixi, and just think how much better off his clients would be if they had not top sliced all the way up. | soulsauce
11/5/2020 14:14 | Tend to think that Shareprophets exposure has generally been a negative on the share price for AAU. It's the questionable motivation of the tipster that is really not helping here. As I mentioned earlier, very frustrating. | dixi
11/5/2020 14:09 | One message that came out of the week-ends chin wag was that completion of the JV would result in a one-off divi, but regular divis had to wait a couple of years of good results. This encourages the thinking of "no need to buy in yet as the cash will still be there in 2022". I could go on but I believe you all know the story by now , so I wont. | thanksamillion
11/5/2020 13:52 | You couldn't make it up could you! Great news and the share price is down. Beggars belief! | nov31 |
