C'mon Ariana - on a day I'm up nearly 10% on POG, and that's a massive company compared. Ariana should be way ahead today I feel. Makes no sense... again :-(

Considering good ol Nige's contradictory comments I am surprised more haven't sold as it would appear a good trade and buyback opportunity. If they did it would allow me (us?) to buy more at these completely ridiculous prices. Maybe that was his intention, I don't know...

Agree dixi, and just think how much better off his clients would be if they had not top sliced all the way up.

Tend to think that Shareprophets exposure has generally been a negative on the share price for AAU. It's the questionable motivation of the tipster that is really not helping here. As I mentioned earlier, very frustrating.

One message that came out of the week-ends chin wag was that completion of the JV would result in a one-off divi, but regular divis had to wait a couple of years of good results. This encourages the thinking of "no need to buy in yet as the cash will still be there in 2022".

I could go on but I believe you all know the story by now , so I wont.

Plas, I'm trying to avoid as much CGT as possible. I'm already selling now for 3 times what I paid for the shares so I would like to get them into an ISA before the JV announcement. I have an allergy to paying tax!

Paul: Re: H.L. would it be better to wait for them to reintroduce the Bed & ISA service?
I'm amazed that they can stop offering such a basic service which potentially puts you at risk (out of the market) and could cost you thousands. Are you making your views known? Have they said when the service will be resumed?

In many oilers I was searching for a management fee - and did not find it. It was easy - a small explorer and a big JV partner. an easy income statement to read regarding revenue of the small explorer - comparing y/y - no extra income (fee). nor was mentioned.....

probably directors got paid double.hence my Q

and yes - there are holdings income statement and consolidated one. it pays to know the difference as it tells a story

the next Q (I know I am a boring old fart) - which accounting method we will get from AAU as a minority !!! owners of the future JV ? just income stream (divi+management fee) or there will be a yearly non-artistic reevaluations (it is cold fair value lol lol ) of the JV stake (most probably) and cash income reported as one (or as a seperated one wich will provide much much better info???)

conclusion - we must be able to read the future JV annual report directly and without any limits - in order to understand what is going on - or we will be trusting modern accounting methods

kaos - most of the companies I have been involved with expect a management fee to be applied for work carried out on their behalf. I would expect the new major partner, Proccea and Ariana to charge the jv for this also.

"The current mine will, and hopefully later Tavsan, be be making good profits which will pay dividends to the 3 shareholders, Ariana, through it's subsidiaries, Proccea and the new JV partner."

that was THE crucial info - each mine will be separate divi paying project to AAU as soon as it turns cash flow positive and will not be "lost" in the common bag eg - future JV - till the whole future JV becomes cash flow positive. Hope I get it right? And that the lending banks will agree???

leaves only management fee unanswered. why would they give their expertise time and effort to a majority owned by others for free? I expect them not to. I expect management fee to be paid to AAU.

As a coowner of some Cos I was expected to work for free. And I did.Stupid unexperienced me. Not any more. If I work - I am expecting to be paid for my work + capital increase in the Co. No more benevolent charity.

I knew something must be wrong

5 mil USD / 1060 mil x 0.82 exch rate = 0.385 p = 10 % yied

makes sense now

Paul - I totally understand your predicament and suspect this may have also been the case with other AAU holders which would explain some of the selling seen lately.
