30/9/2020 16:35 | Well said Plas! Took so long to read that I missed market close and another top up! But there is always tomorrow, I’ll make do with the 89k @ 5.875 this morning for today. | renniks2016
30/9/2020 15:51 | Absolutely in my view. Will happen within the next 18-24 months as well. However, this will be from Ozaltin. KS didn't discount this when asked recently. If Oz don't buy the company outright then I agree with other comments about the corporate structure. | pauliewonder
30/9/2020 14:46 | Far too complicated a business structure, and would probably need agreement of JV parties to get through. | thanksamillion
30/9/2020 13:46 | Yes but only a remote one imho | charles clore
30/9/2020 13:44 | Yes, Not just a one trick pony :-) Is there a chance of a complete takeover of AAU? | cool hand kev
30/9/2020 13:27 | So, more dividends then :-) | shortarm
30/9/2020 13:05 | It is my understanding from past interviews Kerim that he has stated this would be a one off dividend with the view of regular dividends a couple of years down the line. | bonehanmer
30/9/2020 11:46 | With Kiziltepe and Tavshan producing 50,000 oz per annum very cheaply and Salinbas coming online with another 50,000 it really IS NOT gonna be a one off dividend is it!!Sorry for the caps but.......! | shortarm
30/9/2020 11:40 | Thanks - I assume that it was something to do with future tax liability on the dividend paid by the AAU/Proccea jv company. The figure does seem a bit high though. | charles clore
30/9/2020 11:26 | Does anyone know what this relates to?? "-- Profit for the period of GBP1.9m reflects a withholding tax charge on maiden dividend distributions of GBP1,600,000 which were paid in March 2020 from Ariana's operating subsidiary in Turkey to its intermediate (BVI) holding company. " | thanksamillion
30/9/2020 11:25 | It makes sense CC. I'm holding to see how it pans out. | someuwin
30/9/2020 11:23 | someuwin - the price will probably drop by the same amount as the dividend on the ex-dividend date. But nobody knows what price will it be leading up to that date so that is where your best guess comes into play. I would guess that the company will become more attractive to investors when the merger is announced so that's why I'm holding on to my investment and buying on the dips. | charles clore
30/9/2020 11:16 | Don't think people are buying cos of divi it's more to do with the deal is still progressing which will result in the true value of salinbas being materialised . | bigglesbingham
30/9/2020 11:13 | Buying a share for a one off special dividend doesn't make much sense imo. The valuation (and sp) will drop by the same amount as the payout as soon as it goes ex-divi, so it becomes a zero sum game. (Of course, if you were holding before the announcement and intend to keep holding after the divi then its a nice bonus) | someuwin
30/9/2020 11:10 | SP reaction defies logic IMO I will add if a Bid for EUA materialises | cool hand kev
30/9/2020 11:09 | From a chart pattern perspective I am not too fazed by the recent share price action. I was worried a couple of days ago, prior to the recent RNS's that it may dip below 5.5 which could have kicked off a substantial drop to 5 or below and cancelled the current trend, replacing it with a much shallower up trend. Well it didn't, and the trend remains intact for now. A further rise, towards 7p, is needed in the next week or so, to confirm the current upward path. | thanksamillion
30/9/2020 11:05 | A dividend hasn't been set yet. When it happens the company will give all the dates. | charles clore
30/9/2020 11:03 | When doe this go ex dividend? | lhoskins
30/9/2020 10:50 | The city has never favoured AAU. It makes money for market makers with their wide trading spread but doesn't line broker's pockets by the usual money spinning exercises like research notes or cheap share issues weighted heavily in favour of quick buck city opportunists. So AAU has to go the extra mile to prove itself to shareholders. It's an uphill battle that will eventually lead to recognition. I believe we are close to that point now. | charles clore
30/9/2020 10:44 | I'm wondering if a few dont want the unexpectedly large dividend because of tax implications | actonovator
30/9/2020 10:39 | Given the yield, which I suspect few know about yet, selling now shows a total lack of investment skill imo. Further given the payout is going to be so big, I suspect many will use part or all the funds to buy more shares. Increasing awareness, excellent expected Quarterlies, Cyprus results etc., and dividend reinvestments will all have a marked positive impact on the share price. And that's before all the to follow exciting Tavsan news. | plasybryn |
