The drop on friday coincided with eua taking off but this is dropping on it's own accord now.

Looking around the news, I'm surprised this has not dropped further. The risk profile for this company has increased significantly.

Lotts - I have one question. In your opening paragraph you refer to AAU as being a 'cash rush producer'?

p.s. I added 300k earlier and no sign of it yet.

Gold and silver is on the rise. Wouldn't be surprised to see this pop this afternoon.

Guys I've just started a new thread, would love any input on the header it's a first for me and there are some of you here with much more insight than myself. If we think it's worth having I'm happy to run it or pass it to someone else. I thought it wise to have a header to remind everyone of the potential as I struggle to keep track myself! If we have access to add the header to this thread happy to do that also. All comments welcomed!

Only 4 buys, the rest are sells, can't get quite on anything below 50k but getting 250k 5.89Which I might just take.

Well I think they have given a good handle on the amount of divi 1 to 1.1p based on my research as to the expected tax and charges and their 50% of proceeds. Some are suggesting the price will drop by corresponding amount on divi payment . My argument is simple in that the deal value is not fully priced in. The deal represents 2.7p so question in are all their assets after deal valued at 3p?? Of course they should be valued a lot higher (I'd argue more like 6-7p). So I'd assume when the divi is paid the price will be around 8-9p then it may fall back on payment but I think the divi payment will create more buying so the pull back will be short lived. This isn't rocket science and based on today's price it still represents excellent buying opportunity which explains why I've added at and slightly above this price.

but what is there near term? its finalisation of jv and special divi, is it not?

other stuff is some way off or unlikely to excite market in near term:

tavsan
cyprus
salinbas


tavsan production in 2 years will be transformative but is that too far away to attract new money atm?

i've probably missed a whole lot of stuff.

cue: someone with a good handle on this to list all the goodies to look forward to, with some timescales?

Some buyers coming in, me included, share price won't need much to see it set off again, news could come in on any point of the compass any time, that's the great thing here there is so much going on and developing in the background

News is what usually moves this stock. The company has a dozen irons in the fire at the moment and could pull one or more out at any time. We should just enjoy the ride in-between each announcement.

perhaps when an actual number for the divi is known market will wake up and give it another little leg up? but that wont be known for maybe a couple of months yet? i'm hoping pm prices will see a move up and that might provide some support here in the meantime.

Lets face it this is an unloved stock. It has done well this year but any other miner with similar news and developments would have probably ten bagged. Imho this is due to lack of promotion. Come on Kerim get your ruddy finger out and get some decent exposure for shareholders!!

The price at opening was Friday mid. Market makers were too lazy to close at mid the 5.76 was last trade price mot the Friday mid. They occasionally do this

Haha fair play Rennicks, I'm up to my eyeballs already but if I had more cash to invest it would be here! I'll do my best to keep the noise down, exciting when you look into the potential of Cyprus just wanted to see if we were all on same wavelength and I wasn't on the wrong track!

Keep the noise down guys, I’m trying to accumulate!! Need a couple of weeks for substantial funds to arrive. It’s been hard to keep quiet the last couple of weeks. But for me Venus is key to unlocking the jewellery box, and realising fair share price value, which according to simply wall street is 87% discounted at the moment. Can’t help but think once divi is paid there will be some internal buying, followed by (in the correct timeframe) an avalanche of news flow from both the Med.
Historical data and drill results would have cost 100m to obtain today, we’ve got for 3m and the guys there with a whole new lot of tech to unlock this info much quicker than ever before.
Copper, gold and what ever else it throws up for good measure.
Another two weeks is all I’m asking! But hard to keep a lid on this for much longer! Need to shut up know I think. Imho.

Yes there's a lot of hot money in and out we see new names for a day and they're gone, maybe we can convince a few to make AAU a core holding is my point? I'm not sure how many will read a header but the one on this thread does not do us justice? A lot of shares I follow have a few posters banging the drum and keeping the BB up to date? I'm not sure if this would make a huge difference or not in reality but it couldn't hurt? I'm happy to help put it together or set up a new one(once I learn how to) if you guys think it's worthwhile. If not I'm happy to carry on with you all helping to reiterate the opportunity here when we can. Just a suggestion?
