Fortunately due to EUA i have no mortgage or credit card debt.
So what next for the world as quantitive easing doesn't appear to be stimulating economies and I've also read that China's economy is about to implode.
Batten down the hatches peeps :-(

Lotts - would it be possible to have ALL the charts at the top of the page please? A large one for the daily and 2 smaller ones just below it for the longer term? Reason being - I am a regular visitor and having read all the supporting information 2 or 3 times I like to mostly look at the charts and then skip the header to read the new posts.

CSSF - good post!. One thing I would add to it is clear yorself of as much debt as possible because high interest rates and low asset liquidity will wipe out those with large mortgages and high credit card debt.

Their economy is on a ventilator. Whether it’s pre or post election the stimulus will continue “to infinity - and beyond!”, despite the fact that after almost 12 years of it, it’s manifestly not working.

Anyone with the slightest understanding of fundamental economics knows this and many said so in 2008 and long, long, long before (i.e Freidman, Hayek, Hazlitt, Mises, Menger.. to name but a few)

It will continue to fail until their economy effectively Progresses to the next stage,... the gradual onset of multiple organ failure. It’s unfortunately going to get ugly and all stocks will tank, some more than others.

Sadly there’s no way of knowing when the bubble’s going to implode, otherwise the obvious tactic would be to sell all of your gold holdings prior, then back up the truck and buy back post crash.

Frustratingly, the only realistic option for those of us who don’t possess otherworldly Nostradamus qualities will be to ride it down, then ride it up again. There’s only one definitive certainty,... as Night follows day gold will rise against paper as it always has and always will.

Sit tight, particularly the younger among us. For those with a small to medium portfolio of high quality PM shares, you’re going to be the recipients of an almighty transfer of wealth from the unwittingly hoodwinked and ignorant to those who can clearly see the wood through the trees, however dense.

The world appears to be descending into insanity. Pretty Please, bring back the 80’s and 90’s. Doc, what price a Flux Capacitor...?

If they are not printing money it holds back the rise in precious metals and makes miners less attractive

I place more faith in Tarot cards and tea leaves added to imminent signing of JV and cascade of $35,000,000 into Ariana's bank account followed by a large dividend payment
Gold up $20 as I write

This time last year the Gold price was $1,500 and we were coining it in at a far higher price than projected of $1,200, today it's $1,890 which in itself is cause for cheering so why the fretting about a bump in the Gold road?
As Biggles said we have never just been a dancer to the Gold price, it's the potential that lies ahead that propels the SP

Morning Biggles, I totally agree that the share price appreciation is in correlation to news flow and growth of the business with the clear path to becoming one of the largest miners in Turkey. Current gold price gyrations cause minimal short term price changes.

We are have so much potential at such a low cost base and about to have half the market cap in cash the risk/reward to me is obvious to me and as such I hold a huge slice (70%) of my portfolio here.

Hold tight for the Champagne as wise man once said;)

At this moment I believe AAU price is more about the future than current gold price. Looked at logically we are producing 9-10000 ounces (our share) and have one of the lowest cost bases. But AAU is more a play about the future potential which will see its production dramatically increase and then its performance will be more aligned with gold price. As it stands the major influencer on shareprice will be news flow and contrary to many on this board I believe it's been news flow over last 24 months which has propelled Ariana's shareprice 400 percent and not the Gold price. Don't get me wrong the increase in gold price has got us noticed and done no harm atall. Some will disagree and point to other goldies who have had similar reruns without our news flow but I'd argue those are much bigger producers. Currently imho I think the news flow is much more important than gold price to the near term direction of AAUs shareprice.

Nobody. But clearly if gold prices drop there is an impact on all gold producers' margins as well as general sentiment in the sector.

Why should the fall in PM's be a disaster for AAU? The company makes millions in profits, the deal is going to add 35 million dollars to the coffers and as long as that goes ahead we as shareholders will be receiving a handsome dividend. It's a no brained really .
