I'm rather pleased my children and their children won't get polio due to mass vaccination.

As for ARB, I reckon it'll go sideways for a few days then catch the rocket north again.

I’ve had my last word - just wait for everyone else.

Hoping for a calm start to the ARB week so I can shift funds around a bit and not miss something...

Now for a fun thinking test for a Sunday afternoon - spot the error:

True: The world is controlled by the rich

True: Lockdown is having a terrible effect on the poor

Conclusion: Therefore the rich are deliberately encouraging lockdown

And to think that someone with no current knowledge or education years ago managed to work out E=mc2 !

I suppose even though we’ve got the NHS, we could just let it fill up with covid patients and let everyone else with other critical needs fend for themselves.

Sorry, not serious, just adding a critical missing piece to one of the lockdown ‘argumentsR17;.

Sorry if I offended anyone, the ability to debate these issues with clever people is most welcome. See you tomorrow for more ARB fun!

So true

I spoke to someone begging outside our local coop a while ago and asked if he'd ever been outside Sainsburys or Waitrose. "no point - its the poor that give me money".

Just sad

My main purpose is to fight the Aim mafia.Ive invested in small molecule and stem cell research and am aware of many things medical including cancer research and dementia. .When you see everything that is happening with the move to crypto, mass surveillance, crashing of the global economies, mass lockdowns and mass vaccinations is it really all just a coincidence that its all occurring at the same time..Thats an end of it for me. Back to ARB and Crypto

Manics, Which world do you live in? Most of India has been in lockdown for months from last march and the state handed out billions of $ to support the poor.
As for China, restrictions were even worse ( more draconian) in any region where just a few cases of covid were detected. In Wuhan ( where covid started) for 4 months it was a complete shut down and you can only go out to work in key sectors . Even supermarkets where shut and all shopping was done online and delivered by volunteers. You can get arrested and thrown in jail for breaking the rules. Thats how they managed to almost eliminate the pandemic in china .

Does it ?.I don't seem many people queuing to pay tax, do you ?.It paid because they take it not because people want to give it.

Im more than happy to be classed as a conspiracy theorist when it concerns the ultra rich looking after their wealth regardless of suffering that may cause around the world.Sir Keir are you going to say 'Trust me' ?.Still looking for WMD

I think sometimes people are just misguided or not well-informed which is fair enough, as long as they're open-minded. Others willfully cherry pick anything they can to support their view.

Ironically that happens all the time with shares as well as with covid and conspiracy.

The idea of everyone getting vaccinated is to give herd immunity, which stops the virus continuing to spread and stops people who haven't had it from getting ill. Herd immunity can potentially stop a virus completely, as with measles.

It doesn't work if you forget about younger age groups and the consequences are that it will just carry on, potentially with more mutations, because a large group of asymptomatic people are still carrying it.

Whether you want herd immunity depends on how nasty the virus and its mutations are. Clearly covid is way worse than flu.

It would be nice to get herd immunity so that it can't mutate. Do we want to just chance it ?

My faith(atheist) is in my immune system which i take care of. I dont drink, dont smoke and dont do drugs. Ive never had the flu jab. When it comes to a virus trust your immune system. Those with immune deficiency or underlying conditions should consider taking a vaccine that may help them.Just not enough long term data for me to take it

Transaction fees are added to the block reward in BTC.

Well today has been good in some ways. I've found out who to filter on the basis that any comments or opinions about stocks are likely to be tainted by bizarre beliefs.

I wouldn't wish a lifetime of guilt on anyone, but of course some people are verging on psychopathy, so even if they did transmit to someone else, they don't give a damn.

Suffers: do you know how the transaction fees are distributed to the miners? Does Argo receive this in Fiat, or are the fees automatically added to the reward? thx.
