Like others, top sliced yesterday as in from 10p....but still "materially" and holding on for many more multiples from here. Never 10 bagged, which would be a nice one.....

DYOR and nice to see BTC motoring again

New channel but he gets it! Just reiterating what we already know, that ARB could be a quid within weeks. He missed off a fourth driver of the share price as well - do the opposite of what Frenzy says :)

Looking like we will hit $28k very soon. An all time high on the cards here.
With the results due next week I think fomo will be kicking in over the next day and a half. Remember the markets close on Thursday afternoon and the December results could drop on Monday and are expected to be the best to date.

Valuations depend entirely on which investors are involved, which market its listed in and the complete financials of the business.

So the revenue multiples are unlikely to work out - they're way too simplistic.

You could probably generate 3+ valuations here, one on revenue, one on ebitda, one on pbt, one on adjusted ebitda leaving out exceptionals, but keeping in depreciation, one using.... etc. etc.

All depends what case you're trying to make to yourself ;-)

JJP,

Yup, found that out the hard way... Logic said this is where it should have moved faster... Almost level but the price I left riot at to add further here was $2! ouch!

Almost level now...

Interesting that this mines more bitcoins than riot, which is valued 7 x higher.

It was too much too soon today. Anyone like us holding from the lows was bound to take profits. However, a lot of new money has come in at 30p plus and they'll be looking for an initial phycological target of 50p. Then 100p.I'd ordinarily be concerned with such a technically overbought situation BUT I keep coming back to the valuation and to me it's still way to low. Add in BTC consolidating in a bullish wedge for a possible move to 40k without a significant pullback and this could double or triple again quickly.

Yes, the extended price monitoring at the open will likely become a common occurrence.

The chart's had 40p written all over it since it bounced three times off 10p end Nov/early Dec.
40p is such an important chart target that I can't really consider that it won't reach it again and either close there or sail through it.
Hard decision tomorrow whether to trade or hold at 40p.

I do not understand exactly how this OTC market works but surely if they are selling stock for above 50c then they will be buying shares from the LSE to fill that demand in the coming days?

Trent - must agree. I was the one going in with £50,000 a few weeks back but decided to pare it to 50,000 shares instead.

But I must admit after all I've read, I've come to the conclusion that BTC will be $100,000 in due course, so I'm just going to keep adding on the dips and not try and trade this at all, holding for the $100k number on BTC where maybe ARB will be in excess of £2 or so.

True yump, but a nice long-term investment for the youngsters to think about!

Really must admit I thought a vehicle like that would have been available long before now.

Think M&G, Fidelity and Co have missed a trick there.

Also difficult to know how much of the share price is value based on the business profits for the next year and how much is based on pure opinions about its parity or lack of it, with other miner valuations. The one thing I do know is that over the years, the 'it should be valued at x because some others are' doesn't seem to work out often.

Particularly brokers and pundits comparing one company with another - never trust that.

I'm surprised, given the ever growing interest in crypto and BTC in particular, especially recently by institutions, that a UK fund manager hasn't launched either a unit or investment trust for the guy in the street, encompassing investment in BTC, other cryptos and the crypto miners.

I know there is one out there somewhere, but a lot of us like the old M&G style, purely UK based, with the facility to drip feed into it monthly.

If the forecasts bandied around come anywhere near to fruition it could be a very nice long term winner for people, especially if it's ISAble, or allowed in a SIPP.

I ended up taking out half today. Been a rule for quite a few years after dotcom boom and bust. If I can't believe my luck, half comes out.

I know some folk say it should all come out or all stay in, but I can't sleep soundly with that !
