26/5/2023 15:58 | £5 to £1.83 so far this year, very painful indeed. | igoe104
26/5/2023 15:33 | Ten year low by the looks of it. I might as well have just thrown my money down the nearest drain. Quicker too. | keyno
24/5/2023 16:07 | This decline today gives Shore Capital the chance to show it csn succeed | cerrito
22/5/2023 16:40 | Anybody else think Richard Edwards is overpaid? | arthur_lame_stocks
22/5/2023 15:05 | The director disclosures RNS from Friday: i am not sure i understand why the relevance of that now. Karen Prior goes way back to 2009 and with Kate leaving anyway i don't think any of us are worried that her middle name is "Adie" (although i have to say it did make me smile and all that). | cfro
22/5/2023 14:32 | Way too cheap and oversold, like many. Unfortunately no spare cash at the moment | earwacks
16/5/2023 15:31 | Not sure if the weakness today had anything to do with the gloomy news Genus had thid morning ref China. China was 13pc of ANP sales last year and I note their comments that ANP are concentrating on the feed mill sector and they have poultry so not a complete read across. | cerrito
12/5/2023 17:10 | Thanks for that igoe104. I note written by an ANP person but I guess fair enough. I see that there were 47 share trades today-none of them big-and surprised there were so many. I guess the recent strength of the £ is a bit of a downer here. | cerrito
10/5/2023 17:23 | Good writeup here. | igoe104
09/5/2023 14:31 | Yes it will be good to get a Chair with industry knowledge and ideally the international expertise needed. That said not sure if I see the need for a change of strategy though I guess using it's cash to make an acquisition could allow it to bulk up its international marketing. It does not have an activist shareholder register with the Employees Trust the largest shareholder and the only major holder who can and does make waves Gresham House at 5pc. | cerrito
05/5/2023 06:28 | Kate Allum stepping down then due to family commitments. That's a shame but hopefully they can find a new non-exec Chair person replacement with equal experience and the relevant industry knowledge. (Finding the right candidate here might make a big difference). | cfro
03/5/2023 13:20 | 58 million market cap for a company with 33 million revenue, 13 million cash and 4.5 dividend . Sounds good to me. I guess it depends on whether revenue and profit decline much further | earwacks
01/5/2023 15:58 | This may be off track as I've only glanced at the following but I wonder if any coming kickback against Genetic Technology (Precision Breeding) Act 2023 could serve to benefit ANP in the mid to long term? From a note on the law when a Bill: "....Specifically, the bill seeks to ensure that plants, animals, and food and feed products developed using precision breeding technologies—i IMO it's an abomination to have effectively GMO materials sold without disclosure of status. "...as gene editing to replicate changes which can occur naturally..." - that implies a great deal of trust in the system is going to be necessary...? | triskelion
21/4/2023 09:06 | Great and thoroughly deserved award. I was quite taken by surprise at the low staff count for a global company. Obviously very efficient. It is going to be a tough year ahead, but should think the share price is underpinned by strong balance sheet. It was a strange reaction by the market to a 1% drop in revenue. Obviously profits have been hit by energy and rising prices like every company. Longer term this should balance out, although not looking forward to next set of figures. Possibly what concerned the market which cant see past the end of its nose at the moment | earwacks
21/4/2023 07:37 | What struck me most from the RNS was that they only had 120 employees including those in the recently established overseas sales units. | cerrito
21/4/2023 06:17 | A great achievement, very well done to the management team and all the employees.. | cfro
17/4/2023 15:37 | No real surprise that the share price took a breather today after it's sharp rise of the last few days and others like me took some profits from their sub 200p purchases. Even after the small amount I sold today it is now my 6th biggest holding. I foresee that the share price will meander round where it is today and I will rather go back to sleep here. | cerrito
11/4/2023 22:00 | I think that is exactly the point ‘scope for outperformance.̵ | earwacks
11/4/2023 18:30 | I share a similar view, a share price of £2.24 puts it on a PE of around 18 based on next year's projected earnings. I don't think that is particularly cheap but of course there may be scope for outperformance. Also, if it just a couple of less profitable years and then back to circa 20p EPS then it is going to be very good value at current levels. | rp19
11/4/2023 15:54 | Surely the main reason for the recent sharp drop in the share price is the dramatic reduction in brokers EPS forecasts. According to the latest Investor Chronicle, Anpario's forecast eps for the current financial year has been reduced from 22.2p three months ago, to 17.9p a month ago, and now 11.1p. The following year the company is forecast to earn 12.6p. Given that ANP was earning over 20p a share a few years ago, the downgrading in the company's share rating is understandable. The latest share purchase by the chief executive is welcome but remember that he raised over £700,000 two years ago by selling 125,000 shares (over half his stake) at £5.80. | bottomfisher
11/4/2023 06:15 | 25k bought by Mr Edwards. | cfro
03/4/2023 22:36 | Cerrito. You are clearly not the only one. The update in january was pretty clear about what the final was going to be and nothing too different about the published finals, other than details and outlook for next year. No telling how markets will react or for what reasons, which can be many, not least the tax year ending. They have upped the dividend which at todays price is over 5%. Would be amazed if that and the new tax year doesnt bring back more buyers. I would be looking to add a few more into my ISa on April6th. Food production is a massive global problem and pretty sure Anp will have a key roll in continuing to help that happen. The market currently, particularly Aim is pretty unpredictable, volatile and irrational. Terrified to get caught out and terrified to miss out. Generally less supply chain disruption. Container prices have fallen dramatically. Interest should be reigned in in the next few months. It has been a frantic time following from pandemic, war, energy crisis, inflation, strikes, global politics, Brexit, european politics, bank crisis, global warming, earthquakes, tornados, flooding. Cant ever remember such a concoction of disruptive events converging in such a short space of time. Lets hope there is some calm after these storms. Gl all | earwacks
03/4/2023 20:06 | I have to say I have misread this having bought quite a few on results day at 224 never expecting them to go below 200p. I see that volume on results day alone was 580m (ie in just one day roughly combined volume of May and June last year) and last Friday was 150 m odd-not far off volume of whole month of July last year. Surprised no TR1 RNS's. | cerrito
03/4/2023 18:42 | Thanks fro. Yes I see you covered all those points. I originally invested when it was kiotech for about 2p! There was a share price consolidation and changed name to Anpario. Been in and out a about 3 three times so this is my forth tug. Usually sell too early but have always come away with something. I went to one of their first shareholder meetings . Me two other shareholders and the board! Richard is a fantastic ceo. He was project manager on the channel tunnel before Anp which he has steered from about 10 million market cap to 100 million and now back to this ridiculous price. It was their aim back then to build to 100 million and then sell. Seem to have held as long standing following of institutional holders and the infamous lord Lee. Dont think they would let it go for under 100 million. Think there is a bit of a clue with the former CFO trades only a month ago when she sold some shares and bought back into her Or hubbies ISA. Can’t have anticipated this reaction | earwacks |
