Very reassuring update. Should have plenty of room to grow from sales only just passing £30M and with global reach.Industry moves away from antibiotics will help and factory operational improvements should improve margin. Board changes could give further impetus. Locked away in the ISA, but always dyor.

Nice ATH. The Chinese swine market has been very very strong for EAH (RNS today); let us hope we will benefit from the same trend.

These are the type of shares I love to hold, just creep up bit by bit and are under the radar.

Just caught up with Fridays' RNS on the new NED and comments on board refreshening.
Until Friday there were two NED's but you could not ask for two more experienced ones in Anpario's industry and the need to have an international focus. That said not a bad idea to have another one, though not immediately apparent that this new recruit ticks many boxes.
Would be no great surprise to me if Lawrence wanted to move on as Chairman,

The company historically has issued a TS at the end of this month. Wonder if we're about to see traders starting to take a position.

Appointment of Non-exec:

“We are delighted Matthew will be joining the Board as a Non-Executive Director bringing significant regulatory and corporate governance experience as well as having a good understanding of the Company. Matthew’s appointment is part of a Board succession plan with additional updates expected in the run up to the next AGM in June. The Board strengthening reflects our focus on strong corporate governance and will help support the global growth plans of the Company.”

From John Lee's article in last weekend's FT:

Finally, an award for the most original company announcement. Anpario, from which I expect great things, put out a statement headed: “Lady Oregon Goes Aloft”. This referred to a racing pigeon, raised with Anpario’s Orego-Stim liquid in her drinking water, winning the 565km Sydney Gold Ring Race at an average speed of 84km/hour and arriving an hour ahead of the runner-up. Perhaps we should all have a sip of Orego-Stim to help us through these challenging times.

Website article end of November describes further improvements to factory operational efficiency. This looks to have much improved since shareholder visit at the AGM a couple of years ago and adds to the comfortable feeling about ANP. African Swine Fever appears to be dissipating in China (comment by EAH with their trading update in October), which should also help.

In case anyone was wondering as to why the move today, it was mentioned by John Lee in the weekend's FT.

Thought on ANP this morning when I read a piece in the FT of the formation of
Investor Action on Antimicrobial Resistance which is backed by institutional investors with U$7tn under management to reduce use of antibiotics everywhere including food production.

While the immediate impact on the ANP bottom line will I assume be muted, it all helps.

Yes what a chuckle, i dont think i have ever seen a rnsnon quite like this Lady Oregon goes aloft ever in my life!

Bet the pigeon is chuffed to bits with it's Gold ring prize and wears it with pride.

Superb piece of marketing by the company.

Today's press release about Lady Oregon's success cheered me up no end. It reinforces my belief that Anpario is a well run company with a top management team that does not take itself too seriously. At a time when businesses are bogged down by worries about Covid, Brexit and global recession, it is fun when a company announces on the London Stock Exchange RNS service that one of its customers flew 565km to Sydney at an average speed of 84km an hour to win an Australian pigeon race thanks to taking a sip of Anpario's Orego-Stim(R) in her drinking water every day.

Made my day - and there is a more serious underlying message. Brought up in Huddersfield, I had friends with racing pigeons and it is a big niche market with global reach. I imagine profit margins are good. Wonder if Lady Oregon's name is pure coincidence, or if the owner always intended to feed her oregano based product?

Hi Bottomfisher, Cutting a long story short, the FD has sold for personnel and tax reasons. CEO confident in the business going forward, as stated in the recent interims.

IGOE14. Thanks for making the effort to contact the company re the FD's potentially worrying recent share sales. Glad to hear that you are a lot more reassured now but would be interested in knowing a bit more about the the basis for your renewed confidence.
