The only thing the BBC are good for seems to be sport and that’s increasingly becoming more scarce due to funds; trying to think of another program I’d watch and struggling.

Hi Wan, keep an eye on shares like DTG if and when the AVCTA spit test comes along. The Airlines will open up.
I did mention it to you in March.
Fell to just above £2.50.👍
Keep it on your watch list.

Klosters that's your problem I'm on permanent holiday as got stranded here when flight got cancelled so bought a house and farm and I wish I was harvesting but fruit takes a little longer than 6 months to establish, nevermind fruit. Next year for soft fruit and 2022 for top fruit. Don't forget to self isolate when you get back. Don't worry about me have most of my own food, own wood supply, own water all I need now is solar power and then you can all go and get virus and die as I'll still be here in the mountains laughing my head off as I'm immune.

the increase of capacity of test will increase positives, perhaps home positives may not all go reported, if you have an employer and you are claiming sick pay then your are going to report it, but all the other places like airports will probably be testing far more than the government and I assume , as you say, will have to report to government any positives.
Regards airports here's something I found the other day.... I also hold AVCT so its a worry they are falling behind competition in getting to market.

pogue,

Massive demand means when a quick self apply test come out the numbers of cases is going to soar. Que mass panic by BBC and opposition parties.

=============

Not too sure about that.

There is a big debate in the US about this. TPTB do not want "home testing" as they say the results will be reported. They want the result of every test to be reported to an "official" body.

Not sure where we are with this issue in the UK.....Gov wise.

I think quite a few people who test positive with a home kit would not report it, and kep their options open.........particularly if they dont have any simtoms.

However, where I see the AVCT being a winner is the likes of airports, where they test before you board the plane. Results would be reported, so not a problem.

so many things do not make any sense KS,, Gold moving in tandem with the markets being one,,,, the GGP situation you've kindly highlighted does infuriate me as an AAZ investor,,, but, there you go,,, problem is AAZ could move up 50p in a couple of hours with no sellers and buyers coming in,,, question is, what will be the catalyst for that to happen... we wait patiently, oh so patiently to see :-) LOL,,, Cheers Wan :-)

I don't understand GGP share price. No JORC yet, just some good drills results, and only own 30% of any potential resource/mine to be developed and the market cap is £850m! Implying an as yet un-built mine, with no feasibility study in place, is currently worth close to £3bn at pre-production stage?

Explain the disparity here with the junior mining sector where companies have mines already producing cash flow, resources to JORC status etc and valued at a fraction of the market cap?

SPSY going very nicely for me today. Terrific statement a week ago, trading strongly and a pipeline of potential, I have mentioned it before but worth a look. It is my largest holding by a distance.

Agree. But on some level the (admittedly legally enforced) "investment" of £150 pa for everything I get in return is about as good a ROCE as it is possible to get anywhere IMO.

I've given up on the news. I think it's all just noise and makes investing harder. We can add value understanding individual companies but all the macro stuff is just a distraction imo

On the contrary, I find the BBC relatively balanced - If you have a read of their main story today - the new 'Rule of Six' - there are plenty of contrary opinions.

The Beeb is Fab - where would we be without The Archers after all?

I'm glad I'm not the only one who thinks the BBC relishes spreading news of doom and gloom. Somehow they only ever show interviews of people who tow the BBC'S line

No hold fire on airlines there is worse to come I think the media are getting us ready for a second wave and it will come one way or another. Sadly I think the quick CV19 test kits like AVCT are going to give them the ammunition as the more tests you do the more positives you will get. Since deaths is now not a stat we are apparently too worried about.
Speaking to a friend this morning a work colleague of ours spent 18 hours on the phone at the weekend trying to get a test for a family member and then had to drive a fair bit to get it done. Massive demand means when a quick self apply test come out the numbers of cases is going to soar. Que mass panic by BBC and opposition parties.
