Re takeover talk... that was in an interview with John Meyer of share price Angel. That speculation didn't exactly set the heather on fire either re. share price.

Saved me looking at the map Brasso, I remember a mention for a project in Turkey that was being looked at for some reason. Another criterion was for a project that was looking for large cash injection to take it to the next phase. Must try and find that interview again.

It has been highlighted by a few on this board that they are frustrated by the lack of share price performance in the last year. Well...

You have Reza telling you that they are working in a country that want to work with them and not against them.

We are a rare mining company that is paying a dividend.

We are one of the lowest cost producers

We are looking at expanding

We are confident of extensions to our existing licenses

Some may say that they are just words and it is action we want. I can understand that, however, these words have come from a man that put $4million of his own money into a company that could have easily gone under or printed shares like confetti. At the time I couldn't understand why he didn't take the company private. I'm glad he didn't.

He will deliver and we will all benefit. The market doesn't always see what we see and you should be thanking your lucky stars because right now AAZ are available for a discount and that won't be around forever. So take the opportunity to fill your boots because once this barrier of £1.40p is confirmed as support we are heading towards £2

So update on the JV "shortly" indicates no doubt that it will conclude. We've had news from AAZ before where phrases like "very shortly" have been used to flag a further RNS in the next few days. This isn't quite that clear, but suggests to me weeks rather than days or monthsSorry for the speculation!

m-f, I would think the covid restrictions will have held up lab reports.

A good positive letter telling us where they are going and that there's at least a ten year future at existing sites. Plus a good relationship with the government and the prospect of another venture involving a third party. An actual gold mine making very good profits, paying an exceptional dividend for these times, a cash pile, no debts, and several irons in the fire looking into the future. In my view this should be at least a £300 million company, perhaps more given the scale of money creation that's going on.

So as someone posted already, we can stop all this negative talk about Nationalising us,buying us out cheap, or taking us over. I always find it interesting to see these types of comments made when its clear there is a back ground buyer.

I can assure shareholders that it is the Company's understanding that the Government of Azerbaijan has no intention to nationalise, purchase or otherwise take control of Anglo Asian Mining or its assets in Azerbaijan.

The other pillar of our overall business strategy is to diversify and pursue opportunities outside Azerbaijan that complement our existing operations and where synergies exist. This is not an easy task. Suitable opportunities of the right size in good jurisdictions are rare and the landscape is very competitive. However, the Company has been actively investigating several opportunities and negotiations are at an advanced stage for one potential joint venture. I look forward to making further announcements about this shortly when the negotiations are concluded.

So a JV looks well advanced.

Good question.

"The COVID-19 pandemic has provided challenges, and as we prioritise the health and safety of all staff,...."

Bottleneck in the labs?

Market is neutral
No volume
All about the delivery. Plenty just won’t believe it til it’s signed it seems. Fair enough but they’ll pay for that certainty

From memory of an interview with Bill late last year he hinted the outside of Azerbaijan prospects were on the same mineral belt, sorry can remember the technical term, but basically it will be a nearby country with similar geology so narrows down the possible prospects a little.

the JV is to develop opportunities "outside Azerbaijan" jeanesy so I don't think so,,,,, but what do I know LOL :-)

Opportunities of the right size in good jurisdictions are rare...

The landscape is very competitive....

The Company has been actively investigating several opportunities....

Negotiations are at an advanced stage for one potential joint venture...

So, one is at an advanced stage,,,, but, that's not to say others won't also come to fruition later on :-) too.... maybe :-)

Cheers

AAZ - that massive Cup & Handle bodes well now the FA has been clarified,,, although,,,, they still have to make all this happen, so it may still take some time as it seems the market wants to actually see it happen in regard to the AAZ share price,,, we shall see soon enough, GLA Cheers Wan :-)

There is not a chance we will get involved in anything Armenian
At all
Ever
That would ruin our relationship in Azerbaijan overnight
If you even enter the occupied territories you can never go to Azerbaijan again
