It's a mess all around really & Gold has but one direction to travel for the time being & that is upwards. It is inevitable result of a finite quantity of Gold being priced in an almost infinite quantum of currency.

There is going to be a lot more CB printing this year … just wait until economies try to start back up & we see the real levels of unemployment start to emerge.

I really do dread to think where we will be if this virus comes back again this Autumn after a seasonal mutation and we have to go through this all over again.

Interest rates are going to be pinned to Zero for the foreseeable future.

AAZ not just a company with terrific fundamentals but, also in a sector that is going to keep gaining new entrants as a means of trying to preserve what they have.

Anyway, Gold back over $1,700 today .. a run to $1,750 coming soon, imo

all guess work Stig, but it does sound like it doesn't it,,,, but, AVCT won't get a mention it'll be Cytiva the great US company that'll he'll name if our guess work is correct,,, no matter though, it may give us all a chance to chuck the kitchen sink at it before the americans figure it out :-) LOL,,, who knows,,, also, how many other deals will they be doing worldwide with this,,, hmm, nice,,,, but, early days, we shall see :-) fingers crossed, cheers Wan :-)

ODR, be careful what you wish for, do you think the Chinese are lesser bullies than the Americans? The Chinese are known to provide 'largesse' for public projects in poorer parts of the world, and then seizing assets when their 'partner' can't pay the bill. The Chinese asset of choice is ports. They are building a network of control.

The Chinese could make a rod for their own back if they were to displace the dollar as the reserve currency, since the Yuan would increase sharply in value making Chinese goods too expensive to export.

Gold going North again has to be good for AAZ, one hopes that there is not a collapse of the dollar, even if it does make gold look like a good bet.

I think the USA are on the brink of being displaced from being number one.
Gold has to be increased massively in price to become the gold standard of currency again.
This nonsense that the dollar can be printed like confetti has to be stopped. The same with all other currencies. Money has to be backed again by gold to stop all this nonsense.

Like i said yesterday, If you can be paid to take oil, Gold can go to $4-5-6000 an ounce in very short time.

Wan, yes I am quite aware of the 31 Mil
shares hitting the market on the 24th.
Will they get approved tomorrow ? Probably get passed but will the holders want to sell them at this price? Many questions in my head at the moment.

Re bailing out the shale companies.
Well it seems that they can print as much currency as they like, it does not seem to affect the dollar.
It's no wonder,China, russia, and many other countries want a change from the dollar being the main currency.

Gold back to $1700 an ounce.
I hope we have plenty of storage for this cheap oil.

So we are getting a great price for the gold we get out the ground.Also the biggest cost we have is oil and we are getting it for next to nothing. So both ends we are adding money to the bottom line.

Matt knows I’m long sceptical of gold to the moon predictions.
I’m also here cos we’ve got tons of it and we make loads of fiat even at $1200/oz

DDDD Seller is not done yet - as said earlier, Singers want them higher, they want to generate the interest, there was a trade to be had. At some point they will clear.

Mattjos, interesting post re the theoretical price of gold at c$4000I'm no expert on gold or currencies but why though in this age is that relevant? we all know gold isn't now backing the main currencies so surely gold value should be more like any other commodity and be geared to broader supply/demand drivers A number of posters on this board keep talking about the imminent demise of fiat currencies, for which there is little evidence over the last decades, so interested in views.I hold gold and aaz not because I believe there is some intrinsic link to usd in a post crisis potential inflationary world but because gold remains a sort after alternative investment, driving by strong consumer and industrial demand ( eg interestingly gold is a component in certain lab testing). I also specifically believe aaz will in years ahead find and mine extensive truck loads of the stuff to provide me with more fiat currency!
