The WTI June contract is at $9.7, unbelievable.....it started off the day at over $20.

As you say, it could go negative.

Yes, all these guys just want to trade paper oil, with no one wanting to take delivery.

WTI just touched $7/ barrel!

I had a long order in at $10/ barrel which I forget about. I was well under at one point but out at $13.5. I wondered why my phone was going crazy (IG messages).

It's the paper trading that's causing all the problems - no-one can take delivery of the stuff! Meanwhile, Exxon has hardly moved. Interesting

I think the US oilfield has just run out of storage. They are saying that they are even storing it in pipeline. Nothing is moving.

EU /Russia
This is getting interesting.
The gas which Russia supplies to the EU is a buy product of the oil they produce. If they shut in the oil wells, no gas for EU.
Ok, its heading for summer, but they must need some gas.

Doesn't time fly. It's nearly May already. Looking forward to AAZ's 2019 FY results which we know will be brilliant. And looking forward to a dividend announcement of ~3.25 to 4 pence per share payable in July. Then another of ~3 to 3.5 pence in November.

Tons of upside still here, despite excellent share price performance over the past month. High gold with potential to go higher. Very cheap oil. Weak £ vs $. All good for AAZ.

I'm glad to read how strict they are being in Azerbaijan this is a post from a FB group I'm a member of for existing and former employees at Shell shipping ....Try the oil industry. I work in Baku for BP. They are chartering a weekly jet from UK to Baku to get contractors and 3rd party in. They have to then go into state approved quarantine for 2 weeks being tested whilst there before they can go to the site.

Must read for anyone thinking of trading oil here ‘n now - be careful what instrument you use! I didn’t realize that USO accounted for 30% of WTI futures contracts - article states June 20 though I assume it’s a rolling position.
