I think this market should be called the Pharma Bingo Market as you wait for the COVID 19 connection to call Bingo. Its certainly entertaining.

I am no expert on FDBK and it was tipped to me a while back from another ADVFN poster that I have known for some time. I think its hard to lose on anything related to Covid 19 in the short term. Of course there will be a point where a lot of these companies come crashing down.

Managed to get some, bit miffed at the timing but don’t mind paying a few pence above Merck. Once seller with Singer cleared, should fly.

I too was going to take some dddd this morning WAN . Those RNS'S have a habit sometimes of turning up when you least want them too! I will wait for the dust to settle first before re-evaluating . POG showing signs of weakness now well below 1700 and still falling . Did you have a look at FRP ?

Good evening all,
What am i not seeing ? (sorry Kickingking duplicate u like this lol). DDDD has dropped from £10 to 39p why ?
Its a company that is trying to specialise in understanding bacterial function in the development of effective live biotherapeutics. This is one of the founding principles of 4D pharma.
It has a attractive tie-up with pharma giant Merck since at least mid 18 but this has led where ?
The only link with cv19 i can see here is their work in the field of asthma so what am i missing ? cv19 is a virus not a bacteria.
A part from all that i quite like the company but it still has a way to go in what it is doing. Maybe worth a punt but i can't see that from the cv19 point of view ?

Good evening all. What am I NOT seeing? Can someone draw some light over this. Company Code PURE, price 78p, agreed takeover on 9th April while still suspended at 100p cash. Recently came out of suspension and has fallen to 78p. Is it just a simple case that takeover might not happen. It looks like there could be 20% to be made.

indeed Bumpa,,, Issue Price of 50p, now 39.9p :-)

18 February 2020 - 4D Pharma plc (AIM: DDDD), a pharmaceutical company leading the development of live biotherapeutic products ("LBPs"), announces that, further to the announcement released earlier today, it has successfully raised gross proceeds of GBP22 million through a Placing of 16,820,080 New Ordinary Shares and Subscription of 27,179,920 New Ordinary Shares with certain existing and new investors at an Issue Price of 50 pence per share.

As a part of the Fundraising, the Company has exercised its right to cause MSD (the tradename of Merck & Co., Inc, Kenilworth, NJ USA) to purchase US$5 million (approx. GBP3.83 million) of New Ordinary Shares at the Issue Price pursuant to the terms of a Subscription Agreement (the agreement to do so having been announced in parallel with the Company's research collaboration and option to license agreement with MSD on 8 October 2019).

The Placing has now closed. The Issue Price represents a 27.8 per cent. discount to the Closing Price of 69.25 pence on 17 February 2020, the Business Day before the announcement of the Fundraising. The Fundraising Shares will represent approximately 40.2 per cent. of the Company's issued share capital following completion of the Fundraising.

The New Ordinary Shares will, when issued, be credited as fully paid and will rank pari passu in all respects with the Existing Ordinary Shares of the Company, including the right to receive all dividends or other distributions made, paid or declared in respect of such shares after the date of issue of the New Ordinary Shares.

Duncan Peyton , CEO of 4D pharma plc, commented

"4D pharma is pleased to complete this funding round, bringing capital from both the UK and US to give further validation of our approach and widen our shareholder base as we move toward the next phase of the Company's development."

Cheers
Wan :-)

DDDD has a lot going for it on the face of it, and the opportunity to get in cheaper than the recent big placing. Funny how a sector can go from zero to hero in a few short weeks..!

Rb - indeed, doesn’t bode well. If I had to lay odds, 4-1 on we get hit with a second wave. They’re almost certainly gonna try get things back to ‘normal’ too soon...

many thanx for the link Bumpa,,, must admit when I heard of Gilead Sciences, Remdesivir successes in the USA late last week I was questioning the need for testing at all,,,, thinking, if they now have a cure, then just get it made in volume and out to the Docs to prescribe, job done!!! but, I know realise it won't be to clear cut as that and believe we'll probably need a targeted approach to lock-down new clusters as we all come out of the mass lock-down we are currently in,,,,, and,,, for that we are going to need a lot of testing,,, for which, AVCT may have the perfect solution should they get it to work.... we shall see very soon on that front, but, make no mistake AVCT is just one solution in development and they are in a race with who knows how many competitors,,, so the likelihood of us being blindsided before we even see a roll out of the AVCT solution is still high.... fingers crossed, GLA holders, Cheers Wan :-)

Taking a break and catching up on events, that link doesn’t bode well does it Bumpa?

The sense of entitlement and free movement will force things open in the Europe and more so the American continent. You can already see it, whilst there is a lot of space in some countries, I can see a second and further waves causing issues, then their is the decision on Gates and his vaccine’s to be had. Ho hum, not a pleasant prospect.

Wimbled if you look in again and haven’t seen it, interview with Greg McCunn of AKG
makes direct reference to future dividend strategy; will say until recent their single entity project and partnership with the South Africans seemed to hamstrung their performance, rather than aid them. Whilst AKG were operator it didn’t look a clear cut deal to investors as share price performance would suggest in my opinion.
