"even a $750 margin on 75,000 ounces being more than $56 million"

Yeah, except the margin is currently about $1,300..

Wasn't the GDX circa 70 when prices were this high in 2011?

Miners are still underbid imho.

Myles McNulty the AVCT guru who ten bagged his investment has now bought Physiomics PYC

I believe Myles is an intelligent fellow and if he reads PYC's RNSes about their proprietary Virtual Tumour cancer model, notes the validation of Big Pharma,Leading Biotechs, UK Govt, Britain's leading Cancer Research Institutes (CRUK Cancer Research UK, ICR Institute of Cancer Research), Oxford Uni and the NHS he will realise PYC is his next big winner

Hard money thrust upon a system that's been borrowing money at almost zero, to buy in shares of companies with shrinking profits, now that should make for a very interesting re-adjustment! Are they finally fed up with the antics of the Banks causing one boom and crash after another? This time they were lucky to have a virus to exaggerate to hide the banking scandal begun on 17th Sept, but perhaps a few heads on Capitol Hill are finally saying "never again"! Also of course the current money creation could easily lead to loss of confidence in the $ dollar, so backing it with gold at $2000 or $2500 an oz would be a backstop and also fend of the gold backed petro-yuan. AAZ feels a good place to be just now.

Aaz Tipped on share prophets

Anglo Asian Mining (AAZ) has announced a non-binding heads of terms agreement for its “first enterprise outside of Azerbaijan”5279;...

This is an earn-in agreement for the Longford Down Massif gold project in Ireland, including ‘Clontibret217; and ‘Clay Lake’. Clontibret has a JORC compliant resource of over 500,000 ounces of gold and remains open in all directions, as well as to depth, with significant gold intersections having been recorded outside the current resource area, Clay Lake has offered encouragement from soil and rock chip samples and drilling and there is a further area of over 372 square kilometres with targets defined by soil geochemistry and supported by geophysical data.

The proposed agreement is for a 17.5% interest for expenditure of €2 million, a further 7.5% for a further €2 million and a further 30% for the Clontibret licences to mine construction-ready status together with a further €3 million in exploration work, with also Anglo Asian getting a number of warrants exercisable at 16p and 26p.

Those are for shares in - and the agreement is with - Conroy Gold and Natural Resources (CGNR) - as Nigel Somerville reminds, a heavily technically insolvent company with accordant risk, but Anglo emphasises there is no upfront payment, “many synergies such as the type of exploration and the potential mining techniques exist between the company's current activities in Azerbaijan and at the Longford Down Massif” and it “well within the capability of the company to manage without impacting the development of its projects in Azerbaijan”.

They remain the key here – and an update on Azerbaijan production last week seeing us conclude even a $750 margin on 75,000 ounces being more than $56 million. There are clearly some current production challenges but we continue to believe a 200p+ share price is fairer on the suggested further outlook. Currently at a 133p offer price, still a buy.

Still forward to our tussle @jbravo ;)

This story has been bubbling away in the background now for several months and now looks to be coming to a head.
It is going to be very, very interesting if Judy Shelton is advanced onto the Fed Board, given some of her prior opinions such as:

"Why do we need a central bank?” Ms. Shelton asked in a Wall Street Journal essay in 2009. She wants monetary policy set by the price of gold, a long-abandoned approach that would be akin to a Supreme Court justice embracing the Code of Hammurabi."

This looks like yet another reason why Gold is so strongly Bid.
Trump is also a known advocate of gold and desirous of a weaker US$

I really believe there are now just too many drivers for a rising Gold price for the Banksters to hold it back in any meaningful way .. likely they are now joining in and on the long tack

From SPA today:

Gold – Strong investor demand in gold ETFs seen driving prices high as US dollar weakens.

• Strong demand for gold ETFs is partly driven by Robinhood.net investors in the US according to Lawrie Williams writing for Sharps Pixley.
• Substantial borrowing by the US Fed, ECB and other states combined with weakness in the US dollar index are major drivers as nations vote in more stimulus to restart their economies.
• Gold is rising as tension over trade rises between the US and China and further local Lockdowns unsettle markets
• This is driving investors buy gold as a safe haven asset as well as for its protection against the prospect of future inflation as Congress debates another US$1 trillion for the economy.
• Even Mark Mobius the legendary emerging market investor says investors should keep buying gold with interest rates at near zero as the price nears $1,900/oz.
• This earnings season is going to produce some shocking financial reports where companies acknowledge the cost of the Coronavirus and where some other companies may succumb to unsustainable leverage. So far Tesla and Vodafone look good but we suspect the worst reports may take longer to arrive.

Conclusion: we see gold prices pushing higher with significant momentum though we wonder how physical buying for Indian Wedding season will look.

Thanks for the feedback KS :)

Another smashing day for AAZ.

Not so good for CGNR. I bought some of those Tuesday, expecting a spectacular rise for teaming up with AAZ. Still expecting multiples of today's price in the years ahead. Market hasn't caught up yet!

I see we have come out that channel we have been in for the last year.
I don't think we will be revisiting that channel again.

It was funny how we had so many old holders and new posters on here after the Conroy JV news. All telling us how bad a deal it was. Then they were gone.

GoodGrief - the solution is for SPA and/or Hardman to show the divi forecast as cents per share rather than as a percentage. Both have so far failed to do so.

CFEQ are so determined to stay out of being dragged into dealing again here that they’ve widened their spread from 120/150 to 120/170
A 50p spread

Bumpa just flagged important trade at EVG, all former CEO options now taken up, we know he left on good terms too. This seems a signal for getting their house in order to me and that I take it, was Bumpa’s nod. Time will tell, watching patiently with added interest and position of late.

Just had a quick scan through CGNR projects overview, the potential there could be massive. Well done all at AAZ for entering a JV on what seems fantastic terms. More reading at weekend required!

I often spend a week in west wales: in-laws have a place there. When it's not raining the Atlantic coast is great. AAZ really looks ready to move again, just hope the exploration update ticks all the boxes then all time highs likely next week I think
