28/7/2020 12:09 | Just been listening to Jeremy Vine on radio 2. Hes going to be talking about a new gold mine in Ireland valued at 3 bill not sure which one it is yet. Program is on now, it will be a feature further into the show. | spidertricks
28/7/2020 12:00 | How can you have a gold market, yet can't trade on it? Is this yet another tactic to manipulate markets they have found? | gold finger 1
28/7/2020 11:47 | I don't think i have ever seen them close the gold market down for so long before. That shows how manipulated the whole financial system is. If the casino is losing, what does it do. | gold finger 1
28/7/2020 11:43 | trader i would never trade anything that can be manipulated so easy by the casino. I have tried over the years and had little success. Good luck to anyone that trades, But most people lose money doing it. Thats not me saying that, they have to tell you now what percentage lose money. | gold finger 1
28/7/2020 11:35 | Scandahooligan I see they have closed the gold market down, but not silver. They keep trying to to get gold down but back it comes. | gold finger 1
28/7/2020 11:32 | .... or trade it of course both ways | traderglt
28/7/2020 11:31 | Quite - which is why I am not a slow and steady rise person. PMs are undervalued and priced based upon a fictitious paper market. Slowly rising and being a bit less under priced is of little interest. | bonio10000
28/7/2020 11:24 | Who in their right mind pays $1900 for a piece of paper that says you own one ounce of gold. Hold physical gold or own shares in a miner. That way the powers that be can't manipulate the market to rip you off. Could you imagine if there was not all this paper being sold as if it was gold, how much gold would actually be worth. | gold finger 1
28/7/2020 10:58 | Silver spot closed on IG, any idea why? | scandahooligan
28/7/2020 10:48 | The silver and gold graphs are in lockstep. | lefrene
28/7/2020 10:36 | Yes - that is the point. Same as oil. The paper market is hundreds of times bigger than the physical market. But, like all fractional lending, it is based upon nobody calling in their debts. When they do - the whole model fails and there is a massive squeeze to source product to deliver or, in the best case for us, they simply cannot deliver. Then you will see hundreds of dollar moves in a day. | bonio10000
28/7/2020 10:34 | This was the silver link - not sure of the gold situationhttps://www | supercity
28/7/2020 10:32 | They mentioned delivery of silver and the amount outstanding was ridiculous- so much it would be impossible to do | supercity
28/7/2020 10:13 | Equally instead of settling for cash people might actually ask for delivery. As there is something like 1% of physical to cover all the paper PMs out there, if people do ask for delivery you will quickly get the reverse of the oil situation the other month. | bonio10000
28/7/2020 10:09 | Sounds like the makings of a short squeeze supercity? | lefrene
28/7/2020 10:05 | Not sure of the ins and outs of futures trading and the like but reading the silver thread it seems there are an enormous amount of options in silver and gold that have to be delivered on Friday (apologies if I am relating it wrong) which is why we are seeing massive day swings today as they need the prices lower - and the Kong's don't want them to achieve it.Maybe someone more knowledgeable on the subject would explain it better. | supercity
28/7/2020 10:03 | 2sporrans, I don't think the board would do that to their loyal shareholders. More likely wait until Monday if they have good news that would up the price to release, and give holders the chance to buy on Thursday and Friday. | lefrene
28/7/2020 09:57 | only 1 thing really matters, rest of week: The H1 e&p conceivably rns release deliberately timed to co-incide with divi re-investments; i'm v dubious though. | 2sporrans
28/7/2020 09:50 | I guess the MM's might want to get hold of a few in expectation of divi driven demand Thursday? Should be a field day for the repeat 10k seller :¬) | lefrene
28/7/2020 09:46 | Brasso, I bought some ARB yesterday, seems well timed. Seems very undervalued, and if bitcoin does go on a run could mutibag. But cheap on current metrics | jbe81
28/7/2020 09:40 | Tight spread for AAZ?? wtf? ;-) | walter walcarpets

28/7/2020 09:31 | Very tight spread now. 150.6 - 153 | ilostthelot
28/7/2020 09:09 | qazwsxedc69 Well with the amount those buyers have been buying for a long time now, there will be even less stock kicking about. The tipping point will be reached here one day, that is for sure. And you won't want to be sat on the sidelines trying to get back in. | gold finger 1
28/7/2020 09:06 | AAZ - HL online is very fluid right now,,, they'll take 70K+ shares from me and sell me 50K+,,, don't see that every day LOL,,, oh what a game :-) LOL Cheers Wan :-) | wanobi |
