Personally, I think gold is going higher, but a few people saying it will pause here......just saying.

We have had 7 weekly green candles in a row (inc this week)........been a good run.

The Robinhood trade data shows traders piling into to silver/ gold in recent days. I think the normal rules ($1900 resistance) may no longer apply.

right now the yellow metal is all over the financial news channels, CNBC, Bloomberg et al,,, could be dragging in the younger investors and BTC guys now,,, will be interesting to see if it just rockets away to 2500 or not now,,, I'd rather it did not,,, slow and steady and out of the news for as long as possible would be my preference,,, we shall see MF, we shall see :-) Cheers Wan :-)

I hope they also sort the non-reporting of our divi in financial analysis apps and non-appearance of AAZ in financial press in recent articles featuring a plethora of current and former divi payers. Rather spikes any notion of the 'efficient market hypothesis' ...

In all seriousness I think virtually everyone would be delighted if gold stayed around this level for 6 months. I think it possible we will get a melt up but for gold miners 1800-2000 without too much volatility would be great

Bozzy,

Some nice numbers - don't forget the govt royalty of 12.75% on revenue though.

IMO a full year of 90k oz GEO at $1,900 would make something like:

Revenue = $149m
CoS = $60m (10% slight increase to represent underground at Gedabek?)
Admin etc = $6m
Gross profit = $83m
Tax = $29m
PAT = $54m

I would also point out that 2019 net cash flow appeared lower due to working capital changes - the operating cash flow was largely the same as 2018 @ c$50m due to an increase in tax paid being offset by the increased gold price (2019 ran out of tax losses to deduct against profits).

Probably a decent/conservative rule of thumb to suggest AAZ get an increase in net cash flow of around 50% of the rise in gold price on production after tax and govt royalties?

Same with mine. Every year she gets more sensible and I get more infantile. I'm not that looking forward to wearing a mask for the airport and flight but life is too short to miss a summer holiday.

$1900 gold tantalisingly close, one wonders if there won't be a surge if the price bits a new all time high?

From the valuation here one would think that AAZ made some sort of utility product, and not a highly efficient producer of a precious metal that is steeply rising in price, plus of course now with considerable growth prospects.

Booked a week in Crete on the BA sale...got whole family into the Domes of Elounda for around 60% of the AAZ divi that's about to land. Sad, but that makes me happy! PXC and AAU look ready

TSG is a great company. There has been a large seller for a while which has kept the price in check. They have been selling 'sensibly' for ages now but are nearly out if what i have heard is correct . The shareprice should be way north of one pound and will do so once they have done which could be any day now.
